hi there!! welcome to chicken smoothie and the species! there is no time limit, you're welcome to participate in events and adopts as you please! as for tartans, theres a little explainer here in the getting started portion of the species guide, but if you would like some more explanation feel free to message me! that thread also explains the quest board and has a faq at the bottom ^^
