hhmm... I feel for more natural designs as it gives off more of a pure or consistent pattern and color uniquely given from nature... But that's just me :3

I prefer the darker or natural colors in the dinos. I like to keep my characters as realistic as possible and feel that the more natural the dinos look, the more real the species will feel. Perhaps you could take some inspiration for color from depictions of dinosaurs? If that's what you're looking to do of course. So perhaps make more brown to tan-ish ones? Or perhaps even a natural green color? It's hard to say with reptiles, they can be almost any color!
