❖ ooooooook!! some announcements boop boop

i will be personally going on a slight hiatus the coming week, the reasons are as follows
im incredibly incredibly tired and unwell and im gonna use this time to sleep and eat and get my strength back up

and i need to open USD commissions to raise money for a new laptop so long story short time i can spend on dokin will be limited

id really really love if my artists and guest artists could take care of dokin while im unable to work on them, please try and get something done as soon as possible if you havent already (i say this with the best intentions i really respect you guys but i dont want everyone to go dokiiless)


when im back though, hopefully im gonna get to work on some things for dokin! most notably detailed refs on their anatomy and other tidbits
since they were actually kinda hard to fit into the oekaki canvas i had to make them kinda smaller than they actually are
trust me, dokin limbs are long as heck

❖ thank you to the artists helping out recently ;o; its been a big help

anyway, remember how i said i was gonna work on anatomy guides? well ive done the adults one
its really rough, but it should give a better idea of their anatomy than can be shown in the oekaki's small canvas.



most important thing to note is the average size comparison - i made a gross miscalculation when i originally wrote the thread. dokin are much bigger than average humans, and are generally in the 7 foot range when on all fours.
of course, the illustration might be kinda off because i have a bad sense of measurement, but it gets the point across.

incase people were wondering - it is possible for humans to ride on the back of dokin, though it isnt commonly done as dokin move in very odd and bumpy ways as their walking style is adapted to the length of their limbs. meaning if you took a ride on the back of a dokii, youd probably end up with bad travel sickness and might fall off!

dokin are also very good at jumping/leaping due to their limbs, they dont need to very often as theyre big enough to often step up onto things without needing to jump, but the ability is there.
