I believe it's in the medieval times or around that timespan. As it's usually when DnD sessions are set in. Also the use of squires and villages near forests.

Though, as far as I'm concerned, the lore hasn't been developed too much yet so this might change over time.

Money will be implemented soon! When you enter for an adopt, they may drop some gp (gold pieces), and you will be able to buy things from the markets with it. Users will also start out with a set amount of gp; the announcement will be made soon! You will be able to keep track of your gp in your Stats, this is a more detailed example of stats:
