Colour combinations? Well, I've always been a huge fan of gold x purple combos XD -Royyyyyalty!-
And I have to say that I do adore the more....extreme colour combinations of this round ^^ Indigo always is a favourite of mine since it adds that mysterious edge to a character, so I'm all for more of that XP

Ummmm Silver and gold is good too.....ffffft whats with my obsession with gold? Anyways, I'm going to go look at some colour palettes and post them here later for you XP

As far as the whole artist thing goes....if it's not too much for you to handle -making a bunch of Whelkon for each release- then I don't see why you'd need an artist. Generally I think new artists get hired when the demand for more is too high and the original artist can't meet that demand, but I think you're doing just fine. Of course its all up to you, and no doubt it would make things less busy for you if you "hired" one....eh, I dunno XD Just throwing it out there lol
