Hey, I'm looking to do some of the tacking prompts for my 1st skepluvi but I'm struggling a little because I couldn't find any 3/4 or front on references for the species, does anyone have any they would recommend??

Hey, I'm looking to do some of the tacking prompts for my 1st skepluvi but I'm struggling a little because I couldn't find any 3/4 or front on references for the species, does anyone have any they would recommend??

I will be the first to admit these guys can be hard to replicate just right. I'm hoping to get some good references posted to help the community draw them at different angles, but it's difficult and admittedly a bit frustrating even for me! ^^'' I think what's helped me best is to try and use artist renderings of early theropod/raptorish dinosaurs (even gifs of the movie Jurassic World XD) and just apply the basic anatomy of the Skepluvi's over that. If you use the general jaw anatomy of a lizard, neck anatomy of a bird(ish?), and the frontal buck-tooth shape of a rat, mixed with the original Skepluvi image - you'll get something close. There's also the anatomy section that gives lots of links to the animals their body shapes were inspired by, which may help some.

Public Reminder - Tacking prompt tasks will not be considered officially completed until posted onto your Skepluvi's adoption page and reviewed by their artist; your Scuffle page does not count as an official post (though this is a great place to store your prompts otherwise!). Until your prompt is posted officially and you've gotten the "-Task Complete-" reply from the artist, your Skepluvi is not actually tacked nor receives any of the benefits from it yet.

No worries! If at any point you have an issue with an artist not designing your tack or even confirming the tack prompt, give them a weeks time to do so, and after that you are welcome to bump the thread to remind them or send a friendly message - we do sometimes just forget c; Past that you can message a mod or another artist if need be. Prompts/requests posted on the main page just get lost in the other posts to be honest and won't have any attention paid to them in most circumstances, so it won't do you much good ^^'
