Litters are released and tell you how to adopt one. But no litters have been released in quite a while...

Forum litters are released periodically and are obtained through competition. There can be anywhere from three to five flox in each forum batch. There are a few future batches planned (that I know of) but have not yet been released, although they should be in the future. Each batch is based off of a "type", which have line edits unique to that set.

Flox are also obtained through other methods, such as events that go in the [fanclub], or [deviantArt group] so be sure to check them out!
The fanclub is open to non-owners as well.

In addition to these methods, there are games in which flox can be won. These games are usually held over some form of screen streaming, like join.me and in addition to one floc, there are items that can be won.
Flox used to be able to be purchased with USD or dA points, but that method is currently unavailable. There will be a future resolve to this with some form of custom flox (TBD).

Flox are available in two sizes, the large version [example of my floc, Xochi] and the small version [small example of Xochi].
Once you own a floc, you can request the large version. I'm not sure if Flox can be obtained in a smaller size, but if you enclose an image inside a quote in your signature, it will automatically resize the image for you.


As for why Fox-and-Key is kind of slow in getting more flox up...
Most of the staff right now (myself included) are very busy with school (Akami especially). We should be able to work out some sort of way to get back to working on getting this species up and running but until we get a break from school, it seems like we've got a sort of forced hiatus. We don't like it either, but the hiatus is just a necessary evil.
