Examples of art/designs: x, my dA. I did very recently make a pretty big style change and there's only one piece uploaded reflecting that, however. It's the first one I linked.
Do you have experience?: Designing characters, definitely. Designing a closed species on a more regular basis, no. But there's always a place to start, right?
Availability: During the school year, probably not as much. So at best I'd prefer being a guest artist and then we could see from there.
