Pokemon Used: Milk
Prompt:
Milk likes to float and ready, and can kick back n relax even while floating

Being busy with school and work, Jude doesn’t often get time to read. Even when he does, he’s not much into fiction or fantasy, but he does love a good history or science book. Jude loves learning new things about history and especially science! So when he finds a good one that looks interesting, he takes his time reading it, sometimes three or four times, so the facts stick with him.
While helping with the library and organizing bookshelves, Jude found a very interesting history book. He just happened to notice it while rearranging some titles for Gerard. After dusting off the cover he found that it was a book on the history of legendaries. Of course, before reading it, or taking it home, he asked Gerard for permission. The owl hooed, glad that someone had found something useful in the old library. He told Jude this one was on the house, as a sort of payment for helping reorganize the shelves.
So, tucking the book in his bag, Jude headed home to his apartment. He set the book on a table by his favorite chair, and went to make some tea. Nothing was better than nice hot tea while reading. The girafirig happily sat in his chair once his tea was done, and began to read his new find.
It was riveting! It had information on all the known legendary pokemon, along with detailed diagrams. It wasn’t just a history book, but it had science in it as well. The diagrams helped understand the anatomy, and the history went into detail about where the pokemon were first sighted, the theories on how they were created, and the powers they weilded. It was such a wonderful book, Jude just couldn’t put it down.
This unfortunately meant that the young man didn’t get much sleep, but that didn’t stop him. He brought the book back the next day and followed Gerard around the library, telling him how good the book was. He also gave little facts to the owl that he had learned from the title. He asked if he could borrow it again sometime, and possibly soon. Though glad the young man had a good time, the owl was getting a bit impatient-they had much to do, and Jude had done nothing but talk since the moment he walked in the doors. He told the girafirig to just keep the book. Again, it was on the house. It was old and dusty, and he was sure no one else would be as enthused by it as Jude was. The young pokemon’s eyes sparkled in delight. He couldn’t wait to read it again!

With how big the library had been, it took all hands on deck to start filling the shelves with books, old and new.
Blain could get up high, of course. He could float, after all. But he wasn't always the smartest, having brought up too many books with him at once, it wasn't long before the ghost Pokémon dropped what he had in his paws. The books went tumbling to the ground, getting the attention of Error and Jazz.
"Are you ok?" Jazz asked, as Error made his way over to where the books had scattered, beginning to pick them up for Blain.
Blain had made a whine, slowly floating back down, sighing, "Yeah, I'm ok. I just carried more than I could handle."
"Hey, look at this." Error nudged a book that had fallen open, "It's a pop-up book." The page that it had fallen open to showed a scene where Pokémon were fighting through silhouettes. "Woah, neat."
Blain floated over to the book, picking it up, flipping to the first page. The ghost began to read aloud. Jazz looked at Error, pulling over a couple pillows. It wasn't like they didn't have time to sit down and listen to a story.
As Blain read the story, he seemed to form this voice that really drew his listeners into the story, a deeper, yet emotional. Jazz had leaned into Error as he closed his eyes, imagining the story for himself instead of watching the pop-up book. It was nice being able to imagine the story for yourself every now and again. It didn't take long for Jazz to fall right to sleep.
Error had noticed Jazz leaning against him a little more than he was originally. He figured the Flareon had fallen asleep. He chuckled a bit, moving a leg over the smaller Pokémon to pull him closer as he continued to listen to Blain talk.
"It was then that they realized they had to work together, rather than fight. So the leaders of each group stepped forward, handing a piece of the Jewel of Devotion to the little Pokémon, who hastily put them together. By putting the pieces together, a magic flash of light filled the skies, bringing colour back to the once dark and monochrome world. From then on, Pokémon alike did everything they could to get along, as to not break the Jewel of Devotion again, learning that the world couldn't exist without teamwork. The End."
Blain closed the book, floating toward a shelf and pushing it between a couple of books. He looked back at his friends, seeing that they had both fallen asleep. Smiling, Blain curled around them, feeling like he needed a good nap for himself, too. After all, the three of them had been working pretty hard. They could finish filling shelves in an hour.
