Volcan Chevaux - French for 'Volcano Horses' - They remind me of horses that could survive living by/on a volcano
Sumendi Zaldi - Basque for 'Valcanic Horses' - A some-what creative names, and they could survive living by/on a volcano.
Ceffyl Chyrn - Welsh for 'Horned Horses' - They have horns, and look like horses! ;D
Wesen - German for 'Creatures' - They are creatures after all..
Krijesa te botes -Albanian for 'Creatures of the world' - They are creatures, and live on a world! :D

it doesn't mean anything...it is based on a vanity pet in World of Warcraft called a Wolpertinger. I have always liked it so I.....changed it....to be more....equine lol

I thought a single name rather that a double barreled name for the species might be better...easier to remember and no need to abbreviate XD
