I have indeed am and have been a MOD for many other species and this adorable one has caught my gaze. I don't have a plumie yet but Im trying and hoping to get one of them. Buut Im usually on for.. four- hours a day and check each adoption center I MOD at and also the role-plays I MOD at. Then about that is the end of my.. just explaining.

No dear, sorry but you didn't. You simple copied the artists lines. If you want to really wow people you should avoid doing this and maybe draw you plumie into a different pose like.. sitting. Playing. Reading even ! Just do something aside from that same exact pose that the artist has it in. You could make it standing like so but tilt its head, make its tail curled to the size, do something to where its not the same !

Why should you be a mod?: prepare for the essay /sorrynotsorry

Now, I am not as technically qualified as many of the others posting here. While I do have some modding experience, it is laughable compared to others’. But I promise you that I have the dedication and motivation to do the best job that I possibly can, and then some. As strange as it sounds, I’ve always loved order, because it makes everything simpler. I feel that if I could bring a little more harmony to the Plumerian species, it would make me so… happy, for lack of a better word. It would make me feel as though I played a key part in the quickly growing community of Plumerian fanatics (of which I am proudly a member).

I’ve felt the powerful effects of community backlash against a species’ staff. I’ve been a very loyal member of the JBD community for over 2 years, and the difficulties with their staff (whether or not I support the protest) have taught me a lot about being overinvolved. I think that your concern and prevention for a similar situation is wise. I want to remain friendly, and most importantly, part of the community. I don’t want to be treated above everyone else because I’d be a staff member. Certainly, being a staff member gives you some privileges, but it doesn’t make you some supreme deity who’s too good for the lesser, non-staff community members. It should be the opposite! Being staff should make you more involved.

I'd like to consider myself mature, responsible, and reliable. I'm a human being, and difficult situations frustrate me, but I try to be as calm and level-headed as possible when responding. If I feel that I am too angry to post a proper, mature reply, I step away from the computer for an hour and cool off. I know and acknowledge my limitations.

Besides all this, I have way too much time on my hands. I'm the opposite of most- I unfortunately become less active during the summer. Each year I am inactive from late June - mid/late August due to an annual vacation, but when it's not summer? I'm online anywhere from 4-8 hours a day. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm a computer, CS, and Plumerian addict- and I assure you that I will often be online when a crisis emerges. I'm also very fast at responding to any PMs that I receive.

I'm also an active Plumerian owner. My Giselle is one of my most treasured characters, even finding a home in my signature. I now post on the fanclub regularly- sharing art, asking questions, seeking role plays and commenting on others’ art and answering their questions. It hasn’t been long that I’ve known the friendly folk over on the fanclub, but I sense that I will make many sustained friendships there. The atmosphere, the friendliness and the overall feel is so welcoming and enjoyable.

I sense Plumerians becoming the #1 most popular user-made species on CS. You’ve created and molded an incredible species and community, and I want to be part of it. In several years I want to be able to say, “Yeah, I was there from the beginning.” And becoming a moderator is just a larger, more involved part of that.

Guilt tripping will not make the judges give you this Plumerian, and will, in fact, make you unappealing to judges in future competitions. I understand that you are upset, but this is not the way to go about expressing your emotions.

Your form was not a waste; in future competitions you may find yourself incorporating elements from this form that you liked and building off of them. Each competition lost is a learning experience to be gained! ^^ Also, I ensure you that the judging is not biased. They treat everyone fairly and equally. Why should you be a mod?:
I'm going to do this in list format so you don't have to read a ton of writing.

• I have plenty of real life experience with leadership and do run several school websites. (They're closed so I can't show them to you.)
• I deal with children a whole lot. I have younger siblings who I have to manage and watch, along with one older brother who I also have to manage. I also run and help run programs that teach little kids.
• I am on all the time (4-10 hours). And I'm on summer break. I have my phone I can use to check in on the threads with.
• I enjoy helping out with stuff.
• If given this job, I'm hoping I can do more then just tell people off for stuff. I would like to be able to assist with people making forms, creating events (I have a fair bit of story writing talent) and keeping things cleaned up.
• I firmly believe that any thing that clearly breaks CS rules should be handled by CS staff. If something is 100% spam or is art theft/harassment, I will report it to CS mods and allow them to handle it. Should a fight break out about it, I will step in and tell everyone to knock it off and let the mods sort it out.
• I understand how to remain unbiased.
• I can make lists
• This is a kids website, and thus there are kids on it, and people who can't read very well. So I think that when thread rules are broken the first time, the person should be told the rule is there and redirected to somewhere else that they can do what they want to do. The second time, they should be given a warning that a strike and ban list exists and redirected again. Third time, contact you about the strike and ban list and report the post.
• I can do archive work/other stuff if needed. I don't really mind it.

Please don't try to guilt trip the artists. Nobody is biased against you, there was just something that the artist liked more about the winners form/they got lucky. Posting things like this won't make the artist do anything. All it will do is get you put on the strike list if you keep doing it, and then you won't be able to get any plumies.

Why should you be a mod?: Well, I'm a dorky, silly fangirl who's unhealthily addicted to CS and Tumblr. I am also a moderator over at Foxerfly Adopts, and I'm looking to widen my horizons and find other adoption centres to help out!

I guess you could say I'm kind of the 'mother hen' in all of my friend groups, on and offline. My modding techniques have been described by others over at Foxerfly adopts as 'friendly but firm' and I've adopted on a technique of being almost overly kind and sweet to others, even offenders. Why should you be a mod?: Personally I have taken up all sorts of positions on the CS adopts thread, and I usually have a few distinct moderating styles;
~ I can log on almost daily (for a few hours at a time), and considering the amount of time I spend sifting through the plumerian threads I I don't really do much else on CS.
~ I am not afraid to tell users not to be off-topic, etc.
~ I don't use text talk or any form of talk other than regular speech
~ My moderating style is to remain hidden and patrol the thread, but occasionally I will step out into the open.
~ I can do much more than moderating; I have good writing skills, some art skills, and I get along with just the general public.
~ I can remain unbiased in heavily biased situations.
~ In short, I can do anything ^^

Why should you be a mod?: I'm currently a moderator for Aukua Adopts and a previous artist for Mana Geared Hyenas, a position which required me to keep people in check, though to a lesser extent than being a moderator would require.(I no longer hold this position, I retired do to a lack of inspiration for making designs.)
I haven't much experience I'll admit, at least, not online. But I believe that I'd be good for this position, I have plenty of free time to be online. I'm on everyday, almost always more than 7 hours, without much else to do but browse around, so it'd be easy for me to keep a look out for anyone breaking the rules.
As for my moderating style, I've always had a bit of a pet peeve when it comes to people using a simple moderator position like it endows power. I find that it can ruin a community and hurt others feelings, so I'd love to be a part of such an amazing species, and at least try to help ensure it stays popular and friendly. I'd avoid being an authoritarian, simply warning people when they've done wrong, avoiding unnecessarily embarrassing people for breaking a simple rule. You can get a more personal feel of my style of moderation in the 'Sample Situations' section you've added into this form. ^^
Now, why do I think I'd do well? This question will be a tad bit difficult to answer, I try not to over estimate myself, but by doing so I tend to underestimate myself. But, my low self esteem aside, I can think of a few things that would make me do well in this position. For one, I can handle most any situation without my emotions effecting me. I tend to not be a very emotional person, for reasons that don't apply here. I'm good at explaining things to younger users, who aren't very educated in the way CS works. I have 3 younger siblings, and find that it helps me understand these kid's point of view. And lastly, while I don't enjoy when others openly break the rules without first thinking about the consequences, I can still effectively put myself "In that person's shoes" and avoid causing further problems by instigating the situation.
Sorry for this being so long, but I hope I've effectively answered your questions, and provided good reasoning.

This is a traced version of someone else's art, on CS this is considered art theft. I'm sure you love your plumie, so you want to make plenty of art of it, but in the future please use your own art. The original artist of this drawing probably worked hard on it, and wouldn't be very happy if they knew that you've used it without permission. Plumerian artist must be unbiased when judging or else they'll risk losing their position. I'm sure they won't choose staff just because they're staff, so there's no reason you can't still try for this plumie. The only way staff will win is if their form is the best, so please, don't make anymore post like this in the future. You have as good a chance as everyone else who tries out! Just try your hardest. ^^
