it means claiming the right to use the artist entry design for a MYO/custom, meaning the person who claimed it will make the design into a real kalon by using a MYO slot!

Anyone can make a MYO, so yes, in theory, an artist on staff could create it for you. However, you'd have to ask and make sure their commissions are open, and it is more than likely they'll ask for some form of payment in return.

Yes, this is allowed, however they must still stay covered until the appropriate date.

When applying an edit item (i.e. A granola bar from the summer event), do you need to ask for permission before applying it to your kalon? I know it needs approval after being applied, but do you need to give some sort of heads up...?
