herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.

(Intensely shirks all RVEC duties)

So! I've decided that I would like to add Saddle seat to the list of disciplines but a couple things need to be in order first ^^' Primarily that this will not be as realistic as it is in real life. Same with most of the disciplines -- there are multiple rounds in hunters, jumpers, etc. all judged on different things, but I lump them each into one discipline and only give one score. Same for gaited shows -- there won't be any plantation/pleasure/three-gaited division -- just one single Saddle seat discipline that will be restricted to gaited horses and first-generation crosses (of course, if they don't naturally have the mane, you'll have to grow it out first ^^). Most important stats will be action, forelegs, and head, and when I get the time, I'll be adding some ribbons that must be purchased in order to show the horse, and we'll just have the front bell boots double as the gaited boots. So -- be prepared!

Also, keep your eyes on the poll, because I'll be rapid-fire updating it so that I can get answers to quite a few questions I never had the opportunity to ask ^^'

TheLoveOfHorses, terribly sorry, but Percherons only have light feathering so hers must stay the same c:

Syd? did you see my breeding application?

also, since I'm not too lucky with aquiring RVEC horses, could I possibly use another (completely realistic looking I assure you) horse adoptable that I own?

he's another swedish wb and I've noticed some people using horses they got elsewhere as well. I was just wondering if I do get to use him, could I put him up for breeding or enter him in shows?

Yes, I did -- however, I've got quite a bit on my plate and a good many breedings to finish before then, so I can't promise when I'll be doing it ^^'

I'm not sure what you mean by horses they got elsewhere -- could you clarify? c: Some people use just one thread for all of their adoptables as a barn, and that's fine -- but all breeding, showing, and registering of horses may only be done with horses received from RVEC, because I'd like to keep the lineart and coloring style (relatively) the same ^^ It'd also be really hard for me to update trainings and stats on a horse that wasn't posted under the sim -- hopefully you understand <3
