Prompt #7

Parker and Treecat wind down after Valentine's day with a nice warm cup of tea on their back porch, overlooking the woods behind their house as their sheep frolic in the fields. With their favorite music playing in the background, they can't imagine a better way to relax with each other.

the bakery was surprisingly quiet, after kalontines day, she wasn't expecting a full house or anything, but only a few customers had come in for her pastries, one of them frantic for late kalontines day treats...and he almost brought out the whole bakery. 'geez, he must be making up for something he did wrong, it's not everyday i almost run out of treats.' she thought, taking a fresh new batch of cupcakes out of the oven.

lemon poppyseed, her favorite. she inhaled the sweet aroma deeply before setting the dozen of treats on the cooling rack and taking a tray of chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies out and setting them in the display window, going to the back cleaning of the tray afterwards.

at the sound of the bell ringing she hustled to the front, but instead of smiling and greeting them like she always did, she chuckled with an amused shine in her eyes. Little ambros stood patiently at the counter, his face smooched against the glass frame as he gazed in awe at all of the delicious treats, a wooden guitar she had brought him for his birthday placed on his back. "ambros, sweetie, what are you doing? and why isn't daddy watching you." she asked sweetly, an internal sense of panic setting in.

ambros walked all the way here....by himself. she wanted to faint, her child could have been kidnaped! he could have been mauled by some strange rabid animal along the way! he could have gotten lost and never found again! her eye widened as he looked up at her with tear-filled onyx colored eyes. "momma...." he whined, breaking into sobs soon afterward.

the only thing the young mother could do was run from behind the counter and hug her son close to her, letting him nuzzle his face into her apron. "oh, sweet little ambry, what's wrong? did xanthus say something about you again?" she asked, soomthing his fur down with a paw.

she understood why the two didn't get along, tension ran high with a family of six, but why did they have to make each other cry? and why so soon after kalontines day? it wasn't like either wally nor aziza to hurt the feelings of others, but the two of them didn't seem to learn that from them, perhaps homeschooling would be better? no, that means both of them would have to either work harder for a suitable teacher, or quit their jobs and teach them on their own...which was certainly not an option.

"momma, he called my music trash. and them he stabbed a hole in my drum kit with a knife!" he whined, his voice being muffled by her apron.

"so why did you bring your guitar?"

"because i didn't want him to break that too!"

okay, one; she told xanthus to stop stabbing things, it was getting tiring having to replace everything he stabbed. and two; he was gonna get it when she got home. she sighed, smoothing her son's head fur down with a sweet smile. "would you like to play your music in here? i'm sure my customers won't mind. maybe you could play some love songs to make the place seem brighter." she offered

ambros sniffled, looking up at his mother. "really, can i?" he asked, poking out his lip in a small pout.

aziza chuckled, pressing her nose to the top of his head. "of course sweetie, play to your heart's content. set yourself up anyway you'd like." she replied, running back behind the counter as a few more customers.

ambros didn't know what to do. he looked around from somewhere to play, only finding a medium sized space in the corner, a circular table and a stool came with it. he walked over and set his guitar on the table, climbing up on the stool after a lot of effort. he unpacked the wooden instrument, running his paws along the smooth wood before plucking out the pick and playing a few notes. he began playing a song, humming a soft tune before zoning out and singing a full on song, any son that just came to his head. the customers didn't seem bothered, the small kit was actually pretty good, and it seemed to put them in a better mood.

aziza smiled, proud that her child was feeling better and that her customers were enjoying her time there, they had even decided to tip her for the addition to the atmosphere....but her husband and xanthus were still going to get a piece of her mind.

It was the afternoon of the day after Valentine's Day, the usual time when Kalons would head home and be ready for the next day to come. But for little Ghost, he was more focused on saying goodbye to miss Amorette! This was his first Valentine's Day with his adoptive family, and he had a blast with them and miss Amorette, who helped set up the whole party! Ghost managed to catch up with the lovey dovey Kalon was prepared to head out of the small town, who was quite surprised to see the kit out of breath and having a small basket with him. Looking up at her with his big yellow eyes, the kit held out the basket to Amorette.

"This is for you... miss Amorette! Thank you for this Valentine's Day!" The kit said, his tail swishing back and forth as Amorette made a small grin and happily takes the basket, giving Ghost a big and fluffy hug.

"It was my pleasure, dear!" Amorette sweetly said back to Ghost,"I had a wonderful time with you all, and I cannot wait to come see you all again." She then looks at the basket and tilts her head, her small wings fluttering a bit as she curiously lifted up the napkins that were covering the insides of the basket.

"I tried making some cookies for you! But uhm..." Ghost said uneasily, kicking a pebble to the side,"I left them too long in the oven..."

Amorette raises her paw and makes a small giggle, ruffling the young Kalon's hair with her other paw. "Remember Ghost, it's the thought that counts," She replied,"I bet they would've tasted good, anyway."

Once saying their goodbyes, Ghost runs back home as Amorette travels off back to her home. After the departure, Ghost plans to watch some movies with his friends and have a sleepover with them, and prepare for another day of school. He hopes to have another amazing Valentine's Day once it comes around again, as it always does.

Raz's little heart fluttered, leaning his back against his bedroom door. He pressed little heart shaped papers to his chest and let out a content sigh. Valentine's day, and the day directly after, had been pretty great for him. He had gotten plenty of much needed and wanted attention, but he had to admit that it was all a bit exhausting. He walked across the room, tossing the cards onto his dresser, and flopped face down on his bed. Now then, time to eat those chocolates he'd gotten and read comments on his last makeup tutorial.

Prompt 7 (I don't have one yet so I'll use Amorette)
Writing:

Everyone knew the day after Kalontines Day was a hard one. Amorette sighed. The chocolate was eaten, the roses were wilting, the stuffed animals were stuffed into a pile in the corner, and the cards were discarded of on the floor.
Although Amorette was happy that this year's Kalontines Day had been a success, she was sad to see it go.
Being single, she didn't get Kalontines from just one Kalon, but every, single, male out there. She had enough chocolate to last 3 months, enough roses to build a castle garden, enough stuffed animals to make a bed, and enough cards to build a life sized card castle.
She laughed at the thought, "Live in a card castle with a stuffed animal bed, a rose garden, and eat chocolate for all meals? That would be an interesting way to spend the next few months." A fun idea indeed, but Amorette has a way of making everyone happy, and this year was no acception. She went to her closet and pulled out a wooden stand that she use to use to sell lemonade when she was younger. Instead of lemonade on the sign, though, it said "Free chocolate, flowers, and plushies for singles! #SinglesAwarenessDay"
She went outside and got to work, putting all the flowers, in one area, the chocolates she didn't like in another, and her much-too-many plush animals in another. Then she wanted.
"Three, two, one." In no time, all the single girls were around her, sobbing and thanking her, and some were wishing for boyfriends, and some were glad to be there with friends. All the girls made Amorette pleased. She couldn't wait for next year's Kalontines Day, but until then, she would be sure to make sure no one would forget their love to their partners, and their friendships made from being single.

(I hope I did alright. I'm not very good with love, and I'm very unpopular, but this is what I would do if I was like how I she Amorette )

its the night of valentine's day. oh how that was fun. the sun was making the air warm and yet still crisp. my dress had hearts and flowed in the wind, it made me feel beautiful. tomorrow i can dig into the nice sweets I got this valentine's and pray that everybody else had just as much of a lovely time as me.
