Hi, all! So sorry for my inactivity on here -- I've been having to do a good bit of work behind the scenes, but I can assure you RVEC is still very much on my mind!
A couple things I wanted to note:
1) Our Fjord horse winter event is under way, so get ready to see a few of those guys popping up over December! One guy is already up for adoption, so don't forget to go ahead and check him out ^^
2) Breedings will be coming up more quickly now, so if you're waiting on a foal, make sure to check back here often! However, I may be removing the BAS and BSR soon and replacing it with something else... Unfortunately the calculations for those are really tedious and with big influxes of breeding requests as just happened, it makes it exponentially more difficult to get everything out all right. I know this will be a bit of a hit on stallion value, but at the same time, stallions aren't much worth if their offspring doesn't ever get made ^^'
What I may do is replace the BAS with breeding bonuses for individual stallions. In those cases, for every local show a stallion wins in a particular discipline, he will receive a +1 discipline bonus, and for every invitational show a stallion wins in a particular discipline, he will receive a +3 discipline bonus. That means that after his foals are born, the foal's owner can add the breeding bonus to whichever stat they want that falls within that discipline. For example, say a horse has won a local dressage show and now has a +1 breeding bonus in dressage. He is then bred and produces a foal. That foal's owner may now take the +1 breeding bonus and apply it to the foal's neck, hindquarters, or coat. If he wins another competition and produces another foal, he will then have a +2 breeding bonus that can be applied to those stats only. If he wins an invitational competition next, he will than have a +5 breeding bonus, and so on. I'll have to figure something out for mares, of course, and in that instance, I may keep the BSR for mares, but I'm not entirely sure yet. I'm certainly open to suggestions if anyone has any! ^^
3) For those of you with grey horses, get ready! I've been bad about whitening greys over time, but I'll get better about that, so all grey horses will begin to grey out starting now c:
And... I think that's it! Sorry I've been so out of the picture recently, but hopefully that will pick back up! <3 Thanks for your patience!
