Why should you be a mod?: Well, I have several reasons. Firstly; I am very people-friendly. When modding, I would do it in a happy way, not just flat out saying like 'No. You not cool enough.' Second; I have been stalking this species since their birth, and I like to think I know a thing or two about them. Three; I've worked with these species as helper/mod/assistant/etc; WME (Ran the Fanclub), Mae Ponies, Fernan, Chinchias, Cheetah Eggs, Brilas, and several others I am forgetting. So I have experience with this stuff. Lastly; although I am normally very carefree, I can, in fact, be very serious when need be. So in instances of theft, repeated rule breaking, and other important things I wouldn't be like, "Oh, I dunno, let me ask Char." I would most likely take the matters and run with them until everything had Band-Aids and was running smoothly.
I am on essentially all day every day. //pffft who needs outdoors

Why should you be a mod?: I own two speices of my own and act as boss to all things, I'm use to odd questions, Radom issues and confused users.
I am online all the time. I'm able to check CS for short periods of time at work (on mobil) and if I am home CS is generally open and I am on.
I think I'd do well because I've had to handle many situations before, I am good at seeing other users points of view and can roll that into consideration of how to handle something.

Right, I'm not good at being persuasive, but here goes.
I've been a mod at many smaller places for a long time and have ran my own adoption centres in the past so I know what it's like. I try my best to come on every day at some point and I'm always watching the Plumerian threads, although I am still doing exams at the moment so my time online will be reduced until the 18th of July.

I'm also obsessed with this species and love the community even though I don't own a plumie of my own. I would love to become more involved by becoming a mod and being able to help out where you need me too. And even if I don't make the team I would just like to say, well done on getting such a great group of fans. I haven't met anyone who hasn't been nice to me here and Plumerians have certainly made me think more about what I'm writing and how my art looks so I've improved a lot since I first came here. So thank you. ^^

I've modded for my own species, and kept an eye out on other species threads as well.
I'm a pretty chill user, and get along with others well. When a situation comes, I don't care who you are; if you brake the rules, you brake the rules. I'm on a lot, and I chill from the sidelines when i'm not posting, so I see what goes on in around the plumerian community. Sometimes I can come off as snarky, that is one of my flaws, but I do try to explain what they did wrong, and give a chance for them to correct.

While I do not have prior experience on chickensmoothie as a moderator, I have had experience in a peer support group and a student representatives council, and while it might not /quite/ be the same as a species moderator, the skill set is still applicable. I try to keep my posts as unbiased and amicable as humanly possible, and as helpful as I can!
I am on /a lot/ and while I don't post as frequently, I'm still here.
I'm also on a different timezone to a lot of the others, so I can help attend to people that would otherwise be inaccessible in your time until much later.

The artists do their best to make these contests fair, just because a mod, or even an admin were participating, that does not mean you have any less chance at winning! Forms are judged on quality, not the person who posts it! You have as good a chance as anyone!
Be creative with your form, ask for help, there are endless ways to perfect your form and make them stand out! And if you didn't win, that just means it wasn't the right plumie for you. You'll have plenty of chances in future ouo

Why should you be a mod?:
I currently spend my whole life a lot of time on the Internet, and I mean that literally. It is uncommon for me to be away from my computer for extended amounts of time (I am online a good few hours each day), and periods such as this never go unannounced.
I am currently a thread mod for Adopt a Newbie - though it is a different type of thread, it has taught me a lot about being patient with those who miss out certain rules, as well as being a friendly person who can communicate things to others in a calm and understandable manner. We often have to repeat certain things, and it is safe to say that these particular rules are seared well into my brain along with the others. |"D
Another past moderating experience came over late November through to the new year as I joined the staff of Holibombs. Over the month, our team of about 8 or so staff worked together to help make the game fun and enjoyable for well over 1000 members. Though the game was only temporary, the participants were very active around the thread, and we went through 3 of them. >.> In this time, we had to implement a lot of rules as the thread was conducive to a lot of random chatter and spam. We had to particularly 'crack down' on this as it risked the game being closed by CS staff. One of the most important things I picked up whilst working on Holibombs was teamwork - sometimes a couple of us would come online to find 20+ new pages of posts to check, and we would help each other in going through them to make sure that we could get through as quickly and efficiently as possible (without going loopy from the workload).
I would love to join as a moderator the species is one I absolutely adore - I feel that as a moderator I would be able to give back to the community. In both my mod experiences, both past and present, I have truly enjoyed being a member of a close-knit community. I believe that as a moderator, I am very calm and approachable, but if necessary I can put my foot down. I have settled one or two disputes, particularly on Holibombs, and have been able to resolve them without bias or becoming invested/involved myself. Eh, sorry about the text wall >.>

Staff judge adopts without bias, including being biased towards other staff members. There's no reason to be concerned, as everyone has a fair chance at winning the plumerian. The artist looks for a variety of different elements in a form to choose a winner, the person who put together the form is not relevant until announcing the winner!

Why should you be a mod?: (past experience, how much time you have online, your personal moderating style, why you think you'd do well, etc ... Convince me!) Let's see, where do I start...
+ I have a lot of time on the computer, especially now that school is out. I am usually on here periodically throughout the day, but those visits total up to about 5-6 hours/day on CS.
+ I used to work for smaller adopts (Snow Leopards) but I eventually owned a species on the oekaki boards myself, until it died out.
+ I believe that you should be patient when you are moderating and find someone making a mistake. We are all human, right? So it's easy to make mistakes and say things we don't mean, or say things without think. Though, in this case, that would come about my typing. my personal moderating style to to come across the topic gradually and gently, knowing that the mistaken person understands what they did wrong. But if that doesn't work, I would either ask again or report them to Charchar2 (the owner) if things get out of hand.
+ I don't want to boast about why I'd do well, but I might as well include something, right? But I feel that I act differently than other mods who "badger" people (this hasn't happened to me before, but I've heard that this has happened rather often). I feel that my method would be more effective than just shouting at the offender from across your computer screen. I'd like to give back to the community in all of my spare time and help keep the threads clean and tension-free. What more can I say?

Don't say that. Your form had a great chance of winning from last I saw it. But the whole competition depends on how the character is portrayed. The judges aren't and can't be biased against you when they are just picking a persona that they believe is the most imaginable and uniquely-fitting for the character in itself. Don't beat yourself up over something like this; there are many more opportunities to win a Plumie! And please refrain from posting comments like this on the threads, as some sensitive users (though more likely the judges and the new owner themselves) would be offended by something like this. Staff members have different skills than you (we all have different abilities, strengths, and weaknesses when it comes to form-making skills) but that doesn't mean they are automatically the winners! Remember, the competition is all about finding the best persona for the character, and not everyone has quite the right image in mind. That pool can include staff, I assure you. And if you are worried about their status and placement in the community, don't! Staff are not singled out in comps just because they are staff; they aren't allowed to be, and why would there be a competition if they were? Just give the competition your best shot, and don't worry about the others! I've seen community members win over staff many times before. <3

Why should you be a mod?: Plumerians are absolutely gorgeous, and being able to help them out by keeping topics clean and keeping the peace would be absolutely great. I'm on CS everyday in a flexible time zone, able to come on until 8:30 AM - 11:00 PM on weekends, and 3:20 PM - 10:00 PM on weekdays; Mountain Standard Time (MST). However, since it's summer, I should be on normally from 8:30 AM - 11:00 PM. I constantly check threads every time they're posted on, which makes me quick to respond to any questions/situations that needs to be addressed. I'm always open for PMs, and I will always respond quickly. I've been a moderator for multiple species (and even websites) - but most recently I've modded madars.
As a user, I'm always friendly towards everyone I talk to. If I have to repeat something, or explain it in another way to someone, I will always restate it as nicely as possible and not get annoyed at the user. I'm fairly good at remembering rules, and I can always provide helpful answers with helpful links that can lessen the amount of questions after said response.

However, on occasion, the plumerian community will participate in raffles! You can win stuff like an extra slot, or even a custom.

Even though you had tried very hard, this plumerian could only go to one person, which the artist deemed right.
The artists chose very carefully who to win, and it's unfair to say they are biased when you don't know them that well. Please, refrain from doing this. It makes the winner feel awful in all.
It's always okay to let it out, just not in the form of guilt-tripping (which is against plumerian's rules). Actually, even if they're staff, it's quite the opposite. Most times they feel because they are staff they won't win, compared to a normal user. However, both of these statements are incorrect - the judge chooses who deems fit to be this plumerian's owner, based on the competition. Everyone has an equal chance. c:
