The arid plains that surrounded her seemed barren, empty, devoid of life. Mountains of a deep orange stood against the endless sky, their flat plateaued summits high above the cracked, dry soil. Few trees dotted the landscape and water seemed scarce. No clouds provided cover from the sun’s harsh rays, and as the heat beat down on her exposed back, she wondered why it was here she knew she should settle. The only reason these lands had gone unclaimed was the sheer impossibility of life to survive. No pride could life off a land with no prey. Yet as she stood atop the ridge, looking down at the wasteland, she knew that she was home.

100 words (minimum) about their territory/where their pride will be built/how they achieved this territory: On the run from the wreckage of her old pride she stumbled across a massive tidal land bridge only recently formed from earthquakes and volcanic action, pawprints show others may have made the journey but it doesn't phase her at all. Without knowing how far it went and how long till the tide came overtop she took the chance. And what a reward lay on the other side. A large island, separated from the mainland for thousands of years. It has plenty of large but strange prey as well as predators. The island is filled with mountains, rivers, large forests and untouched beaches. What's most important though is that its a new start, somewhere where she makes the rules.
