Kind of a follow-up to this (sorry if it's been asked before!) but would it be possible to roll for sclera and heterochromia edits as well, since they're non-rarity traits?

Muscle edits are a subsection to weight edits, if they are rolled and one of the parents has the muscle bit it's up to the artist if they will have the muscle part to a weight edit c:

sclera and heterochromia are entirely up to the artist since they are technically just color options,
there is no rolling for them

To word it better, I trade MyKal for OtherKal but I also want to gift OtherUser a trait edit. Is this allowed, or would I have to wait for like my trade cooldown to end before I could gift them the item?

Both traits are rolled, but if the kit receives the munchkinism trait, then reverse munchkinism will not be rolled.
On the other hand, if munchkinism was rolled and the kit doesn't receive it, reverse munchkinism will be rolled afterwards.

how can I adopt one?

To adopt a Kalon simply click on one of the adoptables on the front page and see if the competition is open. In the main post there will be details about the contest and how to win. Each contest is different and each artist will judge based on different things, which will usually be detailed in the contest guidelines. Most contests involve filling out a form and with the form with the best idea, art, or writing is picked as the winner. It all depends on the specific adopt! If you're unsure of what to do with your forms, you can take a look at some finished competitions and see what the winning forms look like to get ideas.

Runner Ups (RUs) are sometimes awarded, as well as Honorable Mentions (HMs) which can be collected and redeemed for custom adopts. In the main post of this thread, under the header image, there is a directory of links to the various Kalon threads such as the Fanclub, Nursery, and Customs thread. I suggest taking a look at the Fanclub to see what everyone is up to! I hope you find something you like and I wish you luck in winning an adopt. You are always free to message myself or another member of staff with any questions you may have. c:

Gifting does not have cooldowns!
You're allowed to gift an item so long as the item is in no way corresponding to the trade of the Kalon.
Meaning it cannot, in anyway, be a part of the trade deal that you made regarding the Kalon.
If they’re gifting it to be used on the Kalon they’re trading, instead use the item prior and then trade.

It can lead to confusion regarding certain rules (esp. if the answer is incorrect), and member of staff will get to it eventually!
