You know, I've been part of the JBD community since before #100. That means a lil over two years.
And I've seen changes come and go, staff, artists, rules, lines, all of it change and switch. Who's to say if it's for better or worse.
But I can see that the community has changed. My first JBD, Specks (#113), was roleplayed on a lively chatbox on the JBD forum where things were friendly and splendid and roleplays were open mostly to the group as a whole. Just jump in! However, things changed a lot in the community and, honestly, I think it's silly to blame any one person or even group.

I find myself really missing those days. It's odd to see these adopts closed after so long. But I understand why what's happening has happened. Many major adopts (look at Kias for example) have gone through difficult community dramas as of the last year. I hope that everyone, and I mean everyone in the community, can find some rest.
Foreign, you did a splendid job. I remember when you'd pop onto the chat box, before you were an artist. I remember when people like Lady, Box, Peace, and even Hiccup would frequent the site and RP alongside the rest of us. I can say that I made a lot of friends through here, so thanks. I've been lucky in the community I guess.

I hope to see these open again, of course, however, I also know that everything has a due-date. And sometimes it's best to stop while you're ahead.

I've truly enjoyed my stay in the JBD community. Even if I wasn't the most active member, I cherish the memories I have of RPing with everyone either 1x1 or in a group, or just hanging out in the chat every once and a while. I met a lot of amazing people here. While a lot happened within the last few months for the community, times like that happen in a relationship, be it family or friends. It just happens sometimes, really.

I may have faded out of the group, but I still had a blast while in it. <3 I love you all, and may you succeed in whatever you do. I'll be lurking!

Im not sure if this would be a good place to ask this question but since jbds are gone {even if just for the time} ive been wondering this and would like it answered by someone who knows what they are talking about.

A few months ago a group of my 'real life' friends started making their own jbds. They aren't very active here on chicken smoothie but when I finally expressed my desire for a jbd they fell in love too. They then started making their own jbds and treating them as if they were 'real' ones that they had adopted {they obviously weren't} I was very angry with them as ive been an active member on the jbd fanclub for nearly a year now and have been working towards my first jbd for 2 years. Then they go and rub their made up ones in my face. I expressed al the rules to them of the neon colours, tail stripes, and the main one, they are not an open species and they needed to stop making them. They brought up a good point tho, what could the jbd owners do about it? I convinced them to finally take the design and put it on a wolf/dogs form. Now since jbds have closed tho they have taken the designs and put them back onto jbds and are back to the way they were.

Well as for my question, what will the jbd community do for these kinds of things? Even going to the extreme as to completely ban them from cs wouldn't get rid of their 'jbds'. Nor would it really phase them, as I said they very active on cs.
I know I may be blowing this out of proportion but as for trying my hardest for 2 years to win my first bean this really bothers me. And im not only asking for this case because im sure this cant be the first time someone was so impatient as to make their own 'jbd' and probably not the last time as they have closed with so many still wanting one.

If you want to make your JBD a little bigger or smaller than usual, how is that typically looked upon? Is it frowned upon orr..? I mean weight wise ^^;;
