Quick question <3 it says "Pup 3 - female," but on the reference the sign says it's a male? So is pup 3 a female or a male?

Pups 2 and 3 are both male. Only pup 1 is a female. It was a typing error c:

It is referring to the species in general. It's there to make sure that the people entering know about the species.
