Hey guys!! I've tried a bunch of different ways to word this, but honestly I can't come up with a better way to say it, so:


I'm leaving CS and closing Plumerians.
It sucks to do this so close to #800 and so soon after hiring new people, but it's time. It's been super awesome to watch this community grow over the course of 2+ years, and see how creative and amazing you all are when it comes to creating characters, art, and writing! Unfortunately, at this point, I feel I don't have the interest or time to continue running them or dealing with the stress that comes with doing so, and rather than just sort of let them slowly wither away without supervision/attention from me I think it's better to end them concretely.


> With that thought in mind, I'll be cutting off creation of new plumerians (via customs/adopts/nursery batches/etc) from this point forward. Of course, already promised & accepted runners up and nursery batches will be completed, and currently-running contests will be judged. I know this kinda sucks and is a little abrupt/harsh to do, but since I'm leaving the site I won't really be able to oversee any creation of further plumerians, so I think it's the best decision to ensure things don't get out of hand.

> Staff members who have earned customs but not yet made them will still be added here; you can make your customs and post them, but they should be un-numbered. (So just list them as "staff custom" or something like that). If you're eligible for a custom but I haven't added you for whatever reason, let me know and I will.

> Artists who have plumerians designed & in their files are welcome to use their designs for other things/transfer them to other species, of course. Just change the anatomy/feathers so they aren't plumerians anymore and you're good to go.

> I do have concept designs/sketches for #800, & some gods/lore for plumerians that I may post if there's interest, but they're not at the fully-completed stage and aren't 100% ready to be released so I can't really make any promises that they'll be completed/posted.

> Though the species is closing, all old rules are still in place; please don't sell/trade your plumerians, make 'illegal' plumerians, or transfer their designs off-species (the only exception to that being if you made their design yourself). You can still use your plumerians, obviously, as well as readopt/gift plumerians, and continue to post on the fanclub/create new fanclubs unless they get too unruly without moderators and are shut down.

I'm really sorry to do this, but I hope you guys understand! I'll be sticking around for a day or two before I quit completely so I can answer questions posted here. Can't guarantee I'll be able to keep track of/answer all PMs, but I'll try. I won't be using my asks any more, either, so if you still want to keep up with me for whatever reason I'll be on DA.

Still kind of sad I never got to fully develop my relationship with Skylar and Emeline. Do you think you'd open some bribe nursery slots on your DA? I'd really like for them to have a kid oh geeze.

I'm definitely on the look out for new readopts I suppose. So sad to see these go.

Though I do have a quick question, are we still allowed to use any items we have? Feather changers, DNA mixers, twin potions, etc..?
