Apparently some people feel the need to revamp them. Sometimes the original design can be a bit messy, but other times it's very complicated. Either way they should be asking for permission to do so. If the design is something you do not like at all, you really shouldn't be trying for that JBD, you're right. ^^

I know some people are more lenient if it's a runner up, so as long as we have permission from the original artist, we can change as much or as little as we see fit or they allow per say?
I just read the front, I'll still contact the original artist about it though since I believe I have had my latest jbd over two months.

I'm not sure about the whole two month rule, all I know is that I had a two month rule for specifically my revamp shop, because numerous amounts of people were saying that when they got their first JBD, they were going to come straight over and get it revamped.
So depending on who is telling you that, Hekomi, it may or may not be true for all revamping. ^^"

well, i know they had a one month rule for growing your beans, one month for bean to teen and another from teen to adult at the soonest but some people wait longer.

No revamps whatsoever unless it's a custom, sorry.
The two month rule...when did that even happen? If Hiccup didn't say it then it's not a rule.

No re-vamps at all?
again, just checking in. The artist to my JBD gave me permission to change anything except for a certain leg marking (this happened before the new rules). would I still be-able to do this? or would I have to keep all the markings?
not terribly active anymore
