100 words (minimum) about their territory/where their pride will be built/how they achieved this territory: A fierce storm raged as the group of merchants walked through the dunes. Their eyes stung and they had to tilt their heads down just to see a couple of paw-lengths in-front of them. “Delphin, are we almost there?” A voice from one of the trades called to the figure at the front of the group. “Soon Kade, soon. Our new home is just beyond those rocks.” The figure answered, motioning his tail to a pair of massive boulders sticking out from the dunes.

As the group reached the boulders, they noticed that one had a crack running down the side, a fierce, gaping wound cut into the rock. “Through here.” The leader said, squeezing through the hole. It was a very tight fit and some of the larger lions had trouble making it, but they all got there in the end. Once through the crack, the sandy landscape gave way to a beautiful oasis, tree and grasses stretching out ahead, a pool of cool, clean water at the center and a protective ring of cliffs all around them. It was an ideal home. “Wow Delphin, this.....this is something else.” The others echoed the call as they spread out to explore their new home.

the leader of the pride, the nameless lion thought. it can't get much better than this!not long before, he had struck out on his own, leaving his sister and brothers behind. they had been sad of course, but that is the way it is. the males go out and find thier territories and make thier pride. or they join one. the lionesses go to join a pride, find a mate, have cubs, and continue the life we know. it is not the kindest, but it will have to do. he passed a small tree, in it sat a parrot. its bright red feathers gave it away easily. "go away." the lion snarled. the parrot copied him in a high-pitched squawk. he continued on. he travelled on for days. until he finaly colapsed with fatigue near a stream. he managed to lap up a few mouthfulls of water. then he got back up and continued on. it soon became dark. he crawled over to a cave and lay there. he stared at nothing, as it was to dark to see anything. when he awoke he found himself in a small cove, the cave was large and spacoius. perfect for a pride! he thought. it had a stream near by, plenty of space, and he could see antelope grazing in the distance."welcome home." he said to himself.

They live on the outskirts of a snowy mountain. Though it's cold on the mountain, it's hot in the small savanna that they live in. The way the lions claimed the territory, is a heatwave, not too large, came by and wiped out almost all of the lions that live in the savanna, but one lioness that was carrying her cub, dropped him by accident while running for the snows with her pride. The rest of them didn't know why she was trying to go back, so they pushed her to keep going. The cub fell into a small pond near where the savanna grass turns to a cool forest with snow sprinkled upon it. The cub slowly learned to fend for himself, wandering into the forest often to get some cool air, and his self-taught hunting skills paid off, for now he has a pride of his own. [ 149 words / 768 characters ]

The territory that is now inhabited by the Feathered Inkwell tribe is a large forested area with a large lake in the middle which is surrounded with cavernous rocks which provide shelter. The prey is fruitful throughout the forest and is a nearly perfect habitat to raise younger cubs. The pride began with a single lion and a quest to take in all of the abandoned cubs she could in order to give them the best chance to survive. The battle was tough and left her scarred in more than a couple places , but she won by the skin of her teeth and claws alike.
