The Winterfest event doesn't close till the 27th, but it is pretty soon I'm afraid! However after it's over you can still order custom UNIques from artists, and we've even been having some giveaways for them on the Lambicorns Discord!
By signing up for the Winterfest Event, you also can make a lambie of your own for free! It can't be UNIque, only stylish, but that still leaves a huge world of opportunities!
If you can't do oekaki there is a lineart you can use on the art program of your choosing, and some people are also willing to make others their event myo for free, just ask on the myo thread!

Hi there, I'm completely new to closed species and I can't really figure out where to start? I'd really like a Lambicorn but where do I go to get my first one? What's the difference between on- and off-oekaki lines? I use Photoshop for 99% of my art, so if I wanted to do art of my Lambicorn and I only have an oekaki Lambicorn, would I only be able to do art of it on the oekaki?

Well hello & welcome! ^o^/

For your first lambie, usually you'll either win an adopt or create an MYO! You can also adopt a newbie freebie at our orphanage, Growing Roses! Definitely take a look over there and see if you can claim a lambie needing a home!

If making your own is more your style, you can buy an MYO in our Shop! Although if you check your trades you may have been spotted for an MYO already... ;>

As for on vs off oekaki—there's no difference or restrictions between the two! It's completely your preference. Only our artists are required to use oekaki for official adopts, but for MYOs and the like folks are more than welcome to do off-oekaki. I also use photoshop for non-species stuff, so if you had an on-oekaki lambie you can totally do artwork of them in PS! The only thing that's important for on or off oekaki lines is just the linework itself, for approvals of official references! ^^
