These two are an IC pair! They met after Belladonna was moved to Sable Creek for recovery after an injury, ending her racing career definitively, and was stabled next to Marlena. Marlena is the one who kept Bella entertained during her healing process, something that kept the ex-racer from losing her mind being cooped up. Marlena tends to be an odd, spacey horse - someone who's hard to get a grip on, and she completely fascinated Bella. Because of that, it's not really surprise that Bella fell in love first, when she saw Marlena practicing a dressage routine. Marlena came to her realization a little slower. When Bella was completely healed and ready to run again, she did so with Marlena at her side. It was the complete and utter joy radiating from Bella that made Marlena realize she was head over heels, too.
