MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Please read the following regarding Rah'liani designs!

I was about to start the customs when I realized that I was being asked in the orders to do markings and patterns that I hadn't intended the Rah'liani to have. Because I am using realistic genetics for breeding the species, I have to keep things realistic regarding what is allowed and what is not allowed in their designs. This means that, along with the allowed colors of the element variations, there are only specific markings and patterns that can be found in the design of a Rah'liani. It might seem like a short list, but when you think about how they can be combined the possibilities are practically endless.

If you don't understand what I'm talking about, let me give you an example. Let's talk about the available patterns. There are seven patterns available - animal, stripes, spots, swirls, patches, other, and solid. They are all pretty self-explanatory. As for other, it means that you have any two patterns mixed from one of the other available patterns - like stripes with spots or swirls with patches. But it goes further than that. All Rah'liani can have animal patterns, but Earth Rah'liani can ONLY have animal patterns. The only time an Earth Rah'liani will not have an animal pattern is if it was bred that way - meaning it got genes that gave it some other pattern.

However, because I realize people love unrealistic markings and such, I am allowing people to request free fur tattoos when asking for a custom. What is a fur tattoo? It's a pattern or marking dyed into the fur of a Rah'liani. You decide what the tattoo is going to be and where it goes, as long as it a reasonably simple design. They can be any color, even one that isn't the common coat color of the Rah'liani. I'm allowing this as a sort of sorry for having the restrictions on colors and patterns and markings.

Hopefully that makes sense to everyone. I realize that I forgot to add the available patterns and markings to the shop, so that was totally my fault. The available patterns and markings will be added shortly. The available patterns and markings have been added to the Species Info section of the shop. You can find the list here. And I will completely understand if anyone thinks that having such restrictions on patterns and markings is unfair or unreasonable or just plain stupid, but please understand that it is my choice to work the shop this way. I absolutely love genetics and love playing around with them when breeding the Rah'liani. So if you cannot deal with the restrictions, you don't have to order from the shop. I want to make the Rah'liani seem plausible, believable, and as realistic as I can get them. So if that's not your cup of tea, you don't need to tell me. Just kindly move on to the next shop. Thank you!

I'll be taking care of the Supply Shop order requests later. I want to get the pattern and marking restrictions up. Okay, Supply Shop orders have been taken care of!

Also, question. If someone orders a custom, does that mean that they can't adopt from the next litter?

Customs, breeding, and Pound adoption don't count toward the one per litter adoption rule.

From the FAQ:

How often can we adopt?
You can adopt one Rah'liani every other litter. It doesn't matter what type, either.
So if you adopt from a first come, first serve litter you cannot adopt from the
next litter that appears, whether it is first come, first serve or competition.
This gives everyone a chance to get their hands on a Rah'liani.
Customs, Breedings, and Pound adoptions do NOT count toward this limitation.

ANNOUNCEMENT

With Christmas only a week away, I find myself with a lot to do. I have to help clean our big house, clean my room, help out with recyling, dishes, and whatever else my Mom needs help with around the house, wrap presents, and get ready for family to come over this weekend to celebrate. I've also volunteered to help someone with a My Little Pony Christmas special webcomic and have art commissions I really need to take care of. Because I'm so busy, the opening of The World of Sprig is going to have to wait a while longer because taking care of orders from it just takes too long. Hopefully I can get everything done by Christmas Day. I'll shoot for opening The World of Sprig on December 26, but please don't be mad if it doesn't open until a day or two after that. Of course, I will announce here when it's opened up. Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
