I've just done my first adoptable. :) I hope it's alright. Out of curiosity, do the same rules for guest artists (except the one-design rule) apply to official artists?

Pretty much. Darker designs are extremely rare, but you are allowed to make them occasionally(meaning very very rarely, want to keep them special), I may allow lineart edits in the future to add items, but not to change the overall look of the species. All other rules still have no exceptions, only up to five colors and still no keeping your designs because I want to avoid customs as much as possible because they become a bit of a hassle. But yeah, the same rules pretty much apply.
