A charcoal black lump, hissing like a scorched snake in an ashy, red-hot pan. Tar-like secretions, the moisture sucked out, leaving a horrifying hatching of what used to be pastry, that resembled more bitumen. A monstrosity of what was meant to be a fruit mince pie, that smelled closer to an embalming station.
