goo-o-ween 2022 has revealed a new trait available to goobies... (g3) goo effect!
i talked about it previously on the discord, but here's the rundown for our thread goos!

goo effect adds an effect to your goobies goo/membrane, think of it like the evolution of dripping goo/membrane!
the intention of goo effects is almost like "animation", meaning each time you draw your goo, it can be different because of the effects!
goo otherwise is static, meaning it must be drawn as similar to the ref as possible each time.

goo effect is meant to be very obvious; think smokes, sparkles, particles, the whole works!
and all that smoke, sparkles, and particles can all be drawn differently each time!
these effects make it easily distinguishable from just the standard custom goo traits.

the difference between elemental attribute and goo effect is...
elemental attribute - powers or effects outside or around the body
goo effect - powers or effects regarding the goo or membrane

extreme cases of goo effect can show up on goobies as a g4 trait,
just as extreme cases of elemental attribute can show in goobies as a g4 trait

g4 extreme goo effect examples...
goo effect (cosmos) - meaning the goo effect is intended to look like a cosmos!
goo effect (star blanket) - meaning the goo effect is supposed to be a blanket of stars!

just double checking, we dont have to like sign up to take on goobies or the goobie christmas event, right? ive scoured the rules quite a bit on this post (not the goobie christmas one ill need to do that) and couldnt find anything on a form about joining/adopting a goobie. is it just a 'come one come all' scenario?

nope!
at the end of the event, all unused traits will be converted into raffle tickets!
we always have a big raffle at the end of events to hand out items and exclusive goobies!! :3c
