hmmm basically you can write words in a list, kind of like the one for blocking users. Forums and oekaki posts with that word in them will be hidden. for oekaki posts i think it would look like when you're blocking a user, but says something like "this post contains a filtered word, click to view anyway" and maybe a button you click to see the word to determine whether or not you want to see the post? and for forum posts it would look like when you're blocking someone, but again it says it contains a filtered word. in the new posts tab (like the one on the side of the home page), maybe posts can be completely hidden on there or just say [filtered word].
i think it would be good to avoid seeing repetitive posts and triggering things. something that is popular on this site is a trigger for me, and i would like to avoid seeing it without having to block everyone who likes it.
this is not like a spoiler tag, because it isn't someone themself choosing to hide a word. it also isn't like a censor. it'll mostly be for people uncomfortable with seeing certain things.
i don't know if you aren't allowed to suggest this or if someone already did bc i just woke up and also just Really want to stop seeing [redacted]

im the same. my ptsd and other mental illnesses make me extremely uncomfortable and upset seeing certain things and words. i can't just block everyone who likes those things. even if i tried, more people would probably get into it since it is, as i'd put originally, quite popular on this site.
additionally, this feature could also be helpful for people sensitive to eyestrain, perhaps? like oekaki drawing with the word eyestrain could be filtered, so that is another way it may be useful

support! the ability to remove triggers from the forum experience would literally make it so much easier to use. even for people without trauma, this can be an easy way to streamline what you see so it's more fun and enjoyable being on the forums!

i don't personally have many trigger words but there are a couple that can trigger my anxiety on a case-by-case basis and id rather avoid them rather than see them and potentially go into an anxiety attack
this place is one of my few safe spaces and id like to enjoy it here as much as possible
