I hope Nick is getting a good income from this. If not I'd suggest we have a fund-raiser of sorts to support him in all his efforts working completely alone all these years.

idk if i'm missing something here, but considering nick and tess are the owners of the site, don't they make money from c$? like, i don't think anyone else working for the site gets paid, outside of getting paid with c$ itself, so i think nick and tess make plenty of money as is. and the reason nick doesn't want to hire other coders is i think because his code is so like, outdated and personalized that only he really knows how to code it properly.

Been playing for years, don't have any strong feelings in general as I'm a grown woman who just likes to collect things.

Personally, I'd love to be able to sort my pets by rarity when I'm looking at them-- just, y'know, would make life easier in general.

I would love that, especially for my trade groups which I organize by rarity. It's hard to find rarity changes when you have over 6,000 pets in your trade groups alone.

Perhaps the old pets could come back as a sort of reward system for reaching certain goals on the website. Then there would be a way for players to actually get the rare pets without completely blowing up the current system. Each user could have the chance to get one of each of the old pets this way. Maybe they can also be non tradable to keep the market from crumbling.

ohh.. i agree with the tabbykit.. i wish the sorting system on the site was better¯▿¯!
i love how the site has barely changed since 2015...except for parts like that..where i wish that there was a much more updated sorting system now. such as knowing if it came from an event, being able to auto sort by rarity/events/and so on..it just seems like with how many massive amount of pets there is now it would be nice. Along with tthe fact that t rarities Are updated randomlyh. so you will have folder with only uncommon, only common, and have to go through all 200 pages just to find thes that changed(´• ω •`).

I think the worst change for me personally was when they changed the Oekaki boards. Most of my artwork (realistic animal work) was in Advanced or Intermediate, based on skill level, and now it's all lumped together with thousands of other animal artwork. Look, I can sort of understand it "hurting feelings" to have things moved around if something didn't fit a certain skill level, but now "Animals/Creatures" is too generalized and the forum itself has been pretty dull/slow since the change, honestly, so I've not even been much inclined to make new artwork here since the change.

I saw your post! I thought about responding but I ultimately didn't because I vehemently disagreed with this part specifically and didn't want to come across as harsh or rude xD I'm so sorry! but I passionately disagree haha. this was the absolute best change for me in recent memory here on CS.

I have one suggestion!
this might be a bit out there, but Collection “guilds” could be a cool concept, almost like the flights on flight rising to create more of a team feeling. Maybe you like collecting dogs so you join the dog collection guild and there’s a forum just for that guild where you could talk to other players with a similar interest, and how many new dogs you obtain are tracked somehow and monthly there’s a reward for the “guild” that achieves the most new “You own this pet” of a certain species or something. Sorry it’s late and I’m just spitballing but this could help increase the trading economy and get older players interested and invested in interacting with newer players.

As someone who can get really anxious (or forgetful because of ADHD) about posting and guilds and socializing on the forums, I really LOVE this idea! Even if it might be hard for me to get into the social swing of things, Guilds sound like a fun way to spice things up! Sort of like how we all go sorted into Camps this time around, haha.

The camp sorting thing is kinda what made me think of it! It got a lot of people interested in their cabin and a lot of people did themed dress ups. Maybe these groups or guild or what’re could have guild specific items or something too, but mostly I was just trying to think about how to get people talking. A lot of people are talking here and it’s kinda awesome. It shows that we care. I met people through rps when I first joined but I don’t really do that anymore, now I mostly meet people in closed species which is also fun! But it would be nice to kinda bridge the gap and give people reasons to gather and share About CS pets specifically. I hope this makes sense sorry for rambling.
