My initial response doesn't seem to have been seen or responded to by anyone so I'm going to say this part of it again and add on a little; I would love to hear anyone else's thoughts on this, as I've not heard much about the Oekaki forums here.
I've thought about quitting and donating all my pets simply because I'm not very active anymore aside from adopting every month, but I think the worst change for me personally was when they changed the Oekaki boards. Most of my artwork (realistic animal work) was in Advanced or Intermediate, based on skill level, and now it's all lumped together with thousands of other animal artwork. Look, I can sort of understand it "hurting feelings" to have things moved around if something didn't fit a certain skill level, but now "Animals/Creatures" is too generalized and the forum itself has been pretty dull/slow since the change, honestly, so I've not even been much inclined to make new artwork here since the change. Who would see it, anyway? If the huge topics could at least be further divided into Realism/Cartoon that would probably help a bit.
I feel like the really amazing photo-realistic artwork (not even my own, but others' work) isn't seen anymore and I never even see it featured on the front page. I miss the extremely talented realism artists like Panacea, Oofay, and Sakarilynx, who have all dropped off the site now but surely there are others like them that aren't very visible anymore.
Since the rares lists is being brought up again, here was my comment on that as well
I also actually liked the rares lists; to me they made it easier to trade and get the higher value/more sought after pets. Now the rarities are more obscure to me and no one really has anything to base their value on, I guess? Idk. I miss it. I don't trade much anymore. I've found my goal of owning one of every pet here (I don't have any hoards, personally, but I don't really mind them) to be very unrealistic at this point.
