I've not really been on the site for long but I agree that values seem a little off since I got here. I hoard one certain pet and so many people want '14 uncommons for every '14 common.

This obviously doesn't seem like an issue since they're not lists or anything but I don't even have lists to begin with. I'm not broke by any means but I'm not exactly able to overpay by double for every hoard pet :( if I did, I'd be paying around 300 '14 commons for around 150 of my hoard pets, that adds up fast 0-0

I don't know, I feel like I'm not really getting anywhere with this game. My account has been here since December yet i still feel so new.(which, yeah, in comparison I probably am lol)

Chicken smoothie needs a hail mary. Whether it be a gacha system for the pound that funds the work behind the scenes(such as 5 USD for 5 pound "rolls" that give you 5 random pound pets or something in that vein) or even more thrilling events that bring something new to the table. The events are beautiful, don't get me wrong, but they're getting stale. Chicken smoothie needs stability, interest, and trend to bring back the booming community.

I'm sorry but this sounds very similar to a loot box. Gacha systems using real money is considered gambling in certain countries and is still up for debate in others. This is why Flight rising does not use gems in their raffles.

As for the stickers, there was also a raffle for some late in 2014 link

Something I would really like to see is multiple wishlists we can title. Right now, the one thing that's kind of putting me off from the site is a way to differentiate things on my wishlist. I have pets that I'm missing, hoard pets, pets I want true dates of, and store pets since I'm looking for extras. Maybe the same for items as well? I have a habit of wanting to feel organized and when things can't be organized, it ends up stressing me a bit. I shouldn't be stressed by a pet site, but my mess of a wishlist bothers me.

I would absolutely LOVE if there was sticker packs!!

I think CS is fine, people brought up topics many times which I think would improve the site a lot. I feel that it's become a bit harder to get younger children into CS because they have games like Fortnite now, and Tiktok (Which has an algorithm literally meant to keep humans staring at it for a long time/addicting)

I would also be against gambling, lets please not do that! I think it's honestly a dangerous act for both young and older people and we should just avoid gambling that uses real money in any way.

When I order art, please message me when I ask you too! I do NOT always recheck forums as I am a busy person. There's a chance I won't have payment, I only keep payment when I know that a commission was accepted.

You know what I don't think have been talked about?
The totalitarian censorship that has been going on for years.

That has certainly made me a lot less active on the forums because I don't know what I'm allowed to say anymore... I've had warnings from staff because of in my eyes inoffensive stuff. And it's terrifying. I don't want to lose my account just because of something I wrote that I don't even think is bad. So I choose to don't write anything at all :/

And it's not just curse words. It's also just anything slightly negative is a flat out no go on this site.
Nowadays I basically only write to praise the new pets and items and to trade for missing outcomes. Because I'm afraid to do anything else. (Even this post I'm not sure if it's okay to post)

And the argument that ~it's a kid friendly site~ is nonesense if you ask me. I don't disagree this site is for kids, I disagree that censorship and toxic positivity is good for kids... But that's another discussion for another place.

Wow, I had no idea Chicken Smoothie was dying out because I was gone for so long..
I just found this thread a little before I was going to change my interests to something along the lines of "quit"... lol....

I guess I'm quitting because I lost interest. Don't get me wrong, I love chatting in forums, trading, collecting pets, and etc., but it gets pretty repetitive. I personally think that it's because CS doesn't really have anything that makes it stand out.

(aaanndd I think its about time CS gets an update for new content/features...)

Only users with valuable pets or lots of C$ get anything worth trading, and it’s very hard for new players to succeed. Overpay is expected for nearly everything now. People are simply unwilling to negotiate with others. I know a lot of users that have quit because of how rude other users have been towards them, for simply sending a trade. Trade politics have gotten very bad. It’s why we’ve lost a lot of older users.

I love this site, but there are some days where I’m at my wits end myself. I’ve been trying for literal years to complete just one collection, and now that I’m down to three valuable pets, it’s nearly impossible to negotiate unless you’re overpaying. I dunno, those are just my thoughts. We’re not really acting as a community anymore.

It's always been like that imo. It was always very difficult to get much older pets than the ones you have. I remember being here in the very early years wanting pets just a year older but no one wanting to part with them even when I super overpayed, as a newer user back then. There was no such thing as c$ or that as i remember
But since there are even more older pets and that it gotten more difficult.
But with people leaving and that you would think they would give their oldest pets away, so you would have more chance I suppose. Like in the pound I regularly see older and rarer pets.
Ofc im not here for purely trading myself to begin with, and would say if your trading same month rarities or event pets everyone has a chance. In fact some people miss event pets and are willing to give more at that time of year. I would like more re-releases though and more fairness measures.

Also in terms of merch I think they could also consider digital merch like wallpapers and Icons. They can sometimes be hard to sell but on the upside no shipping costs and that, can sell in bulk.

These days I come here for the art, the species and that
While im not super into the oekaki unless its to edit stuff, it is cool there is a site that has it and probably this is the most popular oekaki site around.
I also like to look at the pound and ofc get monthly adopts. I'd also say I find the site pretty calm though distant .

I would say sometimes it is a bit unclear what u can and can't write, that might be why it feels that way. Though I try to avoid too many discussions .
The recentish rewrite of rules helped because it was so so outdated and now it helps specify what kind of things u can and can't link to.
But things like in the adults forum.
I'm not sure because what you can say in front of kids depends on which culture, community, how mature those exact kids are ive said things i think is fine too. It is also easy to make slip ups. It usually is specific words not just curse words so a filter could help then again it might make ppl lazy.
I hope as you say we are allowed to comment on these things.
I know some discord servers ban things like ranting tho cuz it can spread negativity to other users, so it is understandable. Tho I don't know the extent to which negativity is banned? Maybe these things need to be clarified.
I know sites like neopets have discussions offsite too but I guess there be issues there too. I do think tho there do need to be limits and stuff.

94% of people think that wolves are vicious, evil animals. Copy and paste this into your signature if you're one of the 6% who love wolves and think they are amazing creatures.

90% of people think dragons are creepy as heck. But 7% of people say dragons would destroy everything if they were real. 2% set off to find some dragons, but fail. Put this on your siggy if you are in the 1% of people who would be by a dragon's side forever.

Hopping in here, I have been here since 2012 and to me, as with many others, the pets may be the ONLY thing we come to the site for. But, as mentioned, if you just are new or have *no* good pets to trade, you're stuck. What happens when you run out of tradable rares? Just rely on giveaways and the pound? Which isn't even reliable. What do you do then? Give up?

I adore this site, but the darn values are getting out of hand, and making it hard for even older users to get anywhere. If you don't have money for C$ or art skills, or were here since 2008, you feel stuck and constantly in a rut.

I know that also is a more user-based issue, not the site itself, but it has been the *only* thing that really has made me take hiatuses and back away, since it is so frustrating. Not even counting how so many users are just...*hostile* about trading...it feels stressful, and less fun.

I do hope the site can add *something* to make trading go more smoothly? If anything can be done at all. More pets in circulation has been mentioned above a few times, and I do agree with that. Though I know more can be done, I have hope!

An edit: I play Pokemon Go a lot, another collecting game. The thing with that one though...even rare ones circulate *back* after time. May take a year or more, but once a Pokemon is out, it'll come back again in an event someday to be got again by those who missed it. Maybe CS can do something similar, so every pet isn't a "miss it and you'll never get it" situation...aside from Dec 18th, which as far as I know only gives 3 per person, and is *only* one day out of an entire year, while Go events last about a week average. The Go mons are still *rare*, they're just not...totally unachievable.

i honestly think december 18 is enough to keep things in circulation and keep the rarities.... the old store pets are a different problem though. they really are increasingly a problem and there needs to be something done about it.
