A few hours seems like nothing compared to the several days it can take on some sites. I also dont think another person will particularly change the promptness of the updates. As long as someone else has the knowhow just in case something happens, I dont see anything wrong with having a single archivist.
Instead i think it'd be better to request a coding change so the archivist can "load up/prepare" the full month and have it automatically update at rollover (or an hour after perhaps?)
Im often online just to check the pound!
Please dont take it personally if I dont check a trade then!

I'm back in London, I'm running down Columbia Road
They're selling sunflowers cheap
I'm reading novels, I'm dating, but just dating for sport
I'm getting coffees for free
I hang all my art and I dance with the coven
As the rain falls hard on the street and I
I'm doing better, I made it to September
I can finally breathe ~ There It Goes
Long live the walls we crashed through
All the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
I was screaming long live all the magic we made
And bring on all the pretenders
One day, we will be remembered ~ Long Live

Definitely support this.
It’s painful to wait for archives to update during the events,
It seems like I get more information about what pets have grown up or been released from everyday CS users, rather than the archivist

BlueEyedKite wrote:Uuuuuh. By the new archivist's signature it says "I hardly check cs anymore" does not bode well for timely updates to the archive bahaha ^^; sure you can lock this. But my vote is still another archivist! Unless that signature message is old?
The change has been fairly recent, so maybe the signature is old? I'm hoping so. :<

It doesnt look like that user is part of the CS staff members group, like Solloby is. They also mention that they are a former fan art archivist, maybe thats what that is about? There probably would have been a thread about seeking archivist applications if they were adding a new one.
