CS Writing Competition [INTEREST CHECK]

I have negative writing chops so I personally would not be taking part - Regardless though, I really like the idea and feel a big part of the community would enjoy this and it'd be fun to read some entries :-]

I'd most likely spend a lot of my free time writing for the competitions and if there's one thing I love to do it's to write ^^

As long as the stories are readable/understandable, the focus will definitely be on the ideas/storytelling! Each judge will probably have a tiny bit of different criteria, but I don't think any of us are going to be grammar or spelling sticklers.

As someone who writes constantly, I love this idea.
However, I would suggest not making it pet-centered. It might get tiresome to write only about a pet no matter the topic.
I'd probably enter for the topic itself and not necessarily to try winning the prize IF the topic was good enough.
Just my two cents.

I do this in my free time as a hobby!! I would be thrilled to have one of my CS stories win and be linked on the front page let alone get prizes?!

I would love the topic to be CS related because that's why we are here are we not? And what if writers over time shape some CS lore as the winners build up and they imagine what living and breathing as a CS pet is like. Awesome!!

It would be a prompt that you would tell us about a CS Pet of your choice with that prompt. As this would be sponsored by the site, we want to see the creativity you can come up with with CS Pets. If you mean first person perspective - no. It’s just having that pet as the “focus” of the story. You also would not have to use the same pet each time! Absolutely mix it up, tell us about everyone in your collection, etc.

Oh, great! Thank you, I appreciate the clarification, it’s exciting to think of stories with a pet in them.y heads are turning already. I can’t wait for the first prompt! Any requests for formatting at all?

interested, but would also love this to eventually include dress ups as suggested in the op post, as i'm not sure how far my skill in writing goes ahaha. love this new potential addition to the cs site though ! it's nice to have something new <3
