Ah its just not something that comes naturally to me and, personally, would seem fake and almost feels like it would be more of a slap in the face to give someone a warning but '<3 <3 have a nice day!!'. But as said, social anxiety here, I never really caught on the normal social 'politeness' so maybe thats a just a me problem. I've worked in customer service for a number of years and having to say things like 'have a nice day' probably feels fake by extension of being forced to end every customer interaction with it.
I honestly agree with the "have a nice day" part. I think in some professions like fast food and such its appropriate, but in a message reminding you of the rules I can see how it would come off as condescending and sarcastic.
I do think however the language could be improved. Saying something like.. "Hey! I wanna remind you of rule xyz.. you are not allowed to do xyz. If you want more examples that would qualify as xyz or dont quite understand the issue, message me! Let me know of you have any questions concerning this matter so we can figure it out. Thank you!
All of this! And what Ziggy said! I am a teacher, I work with people, and often have to tell students rules or remind them of such, but I make sure to do it in a way that doesn't cause them to fear me, or shut down and stop trying things overall. I mentioned in a previous post a warning I got years ago still bothers me today from how I, an ignorant child, made a simple mistake, and the wording of said "scolding" shook me so bad I stopped trying forums at all.
Everyone does see rudeness/bluntness differently, but clarity is golden. Stating the rule that may have been broken, while nOt discouraging the person, is in itself professional. Its a balance of holding authority, while not intimidating the person so bad they *fear* you, the site, or anything similar.
Don't wanna dwell on this topic much more so that's my take on the matter. For the other stuff, I do wanna say lots of good ideas have been said here! New pet organization tabs, the Dice Roll pet gift box, minigames, additional coding help, I do love seeing people want so hard to help this site improve! The voices just need to be heard.
