tysm!! ill try to explain :3
i shaded in a clipping layer above with a soft color (i used a hot pink), set the layer to multiply, and then i lowered the opacity
when i wanted it to be softer/blend, i used the airbrush/soft eraser to erase away corners
sometimes i even used the watercolor brush to smudge it even more
where the shadows need to stand out more, i just added a second shading layer w the same steps!
shading tends to look a lot different depending on what color u use against ur subject,
so u have to experiment to find something that works the way u want it to!!
i hope that explanation helped!! :3

It did help! Thank you! I will try these steps out next I tackle shading (I hate shading but it's a 2025 art goal for me). I like the idea of the airbrush eraser, that's genius! ^^
