Went with the blue merle tanpoints on cream! Realistically this coat would be the only one of the three a purebred Dachshund could appear with.

If going with realistic coats on purebred dogs, its important to look at what breed standard coats and markings are! Reasonable theoretical coats should take into account the blacks, dilutes, white amounts, and markings that appear in said breeds.

Ex. A borzoi could appear with high white and sable (or with grizzle), but due to liver not appearing in breed standard, they cannot be isabella.

However I as a designer highly encourage people to take liberties <3 Do what you like!! Enjoy the pretty coats that are on the more unrealistic side and just call them accidental mutts or something if you want to stick with something realistic. Accidental litters (and unfortunately backyard breeders) happen all the time!
