- woohoo, another half-step breeding! these pups won't advance/become parents of the next generation, but aren't they cute? I really struggled to replicate the stained glass parents' markings but I did my humble best. I also wanted to do a fun mutation between the stained glass parents' floaty light wings and my orange parents' horns, making floaty light horns! aren't those neat? I did try to use the light orange colors but they just didn't work in my opinion, so I went more with saturated colors for these!
Tatzel gets to pick which pup they want first and the other two will stay with me for the time being, until the end of the 10 gen challenge where their fates will be decided! :3
pup 1 - left - broken stained glass - this pup has the fun floaty light horn mutation I mentioned above! I tried to give them cracked glass markings using the rainbow colors from their stained glass parent, with added teal from their orange parent. I tried to do the white 'hood' marking from their orange parent but with sharp jagged lines like their stained glass parent's markings! I added some spots in a lighter version of the base color to tie in more of my orange parents' markings, as well as the asymmetrical toe markings, the underpaw markings and the tail tuft marking! this pup also has my orange parents' colors as their eye color! I drew pretty heavily on their stained glass parent for this pup, but I hope there's enough of my orange parent that they still have their own fun unique spark!
pup 2 - middle - rainbow husky - for this pup I only gave them one floaty light horn, it's up to their owner whether it's a single horn or a diamond-shaped halo! I tried to use more of the shapes from my orange parents' design here, but kept with the rainbow colors (+teal) color combo from the first pup because I was having a LOT of fun working with it! for this one I did a 'husky' style marking like my orange parent (if their head wasn't covered in white you'd see how the lighter orange goes up over their back and onto their head, like a husky's 'saddle' or 'cloak' marking)-- and like their parent I put the light colors on top and the dark colors to the base of their paws. the fluffy white markings are somewhat inspired by both parents, like the shine from their stained glass parent and the spots of their orange parent. I also thought as a fun little mutation I'd give them different colored under-paw markings (kind of like their orange parents but they don't all match).
pup 3 - right - piebald rainbow - this one keeps the rainbow from the last pups but instead of their base being dark like their stained glass parent, I thought it would be cool to make a mostly-white pup like my orange parent! I applied the stained glass markings in a spotty style this time, trying to mix the general marking locations from their stained glass parent with the spotty marking style of their parent from my side! they're kind of giving piebald markings to me? they have both floaty light wings and floaty light horns too! I also gave them the asymmetrical paw/toe markings from their orange parent, and minimized sharp/hard lines and instead went with spotty irregular lines! this pup is the wild card of this bunch in my opinion but I really like em! as a note i forgot before, the pastel rainbow is supposed to be inspired more by their orange parent, so I softened their more saturated rainbow colors so they look more pastel-y like the orange parent does.
