Lore wise I think he comes from a pack that Worships the moon and every adult wolf is born with a moon phase on its body, along with a few other random markings. This guy has a waning crescent. - though I do need to go back and give said crescent a touch-up.
This dude's whole color scheme -aside from the eyes - is teal/turquoise. The main body colors are very grayed-out teal/turquoise, markings and tongue are a much brighter and purer shade. The nose, claws, and paw pads are a much darker teal/turquoise that really looks more like a green than anything else.
