Is the blacksmith being named "Flux" a reference to Doc in BTTF 3? If so, I am IN LOVE with that <333

Going off old events, everything on the maps is eventually accessible and, honestly, while the train is cool… I wanna see the buildings so bad! I know they usually grouped some spots together so obviously not every building will have something.
Going off the old west and trains, there’s usually stuff of value in the train. Maybe gold themed pets

Sincerely hoping we get a squirrel pet or statue item that looks suspiciously like John Marston from RDR…

It's probably in reference to blacksmithing! Here's the relevent definitions of the word:
a substance mixed with a solid to lower its melting point, used especially in soldering and brazing metals or to promote vitrification in glass or ceramics.
- a substance added to a furnace during metal smelting or glassmaking that combines with impurities to form slag.
https://www.blacksmithsdepot.com/blog/post/to-flux-or-not-to-flux wrote:Blacksmith flux is used to reduce the temperature at which the surface elements (scale, impurities, etc.) become fluid on the surface of the metal. It protects the surface from erosion due to air or gas blasting against the metal. Therefore if you do not use flux you must raise the temperature enough to make the elements on the surface fluid.

Azure Dreams wrote:Also unrelated but just do sort of wonder if you're going to get a "twist" this event. It seems like a good number of the previous years' events have had some sort of mid-event shift where a secondary theme is introduced. If that is the case, I kind of wonder what it'd be.
Maybe it'll turn into a space western or something...👀?
