You and your Berry cabin mates aren’t really feeling up to talking to people today, but you are feeling a little stifled by your excursions outside of camp so far. Sure, you can fish or canoe, but what’s the fun in that? If there’s going to be a good clue, it will definitely be hidden. So, you decide that the right course of action is to dive into the lake. You don’t have diving gear, but you do hold a breath holding contest to see who are the best candidates for getting the coveted information.

There aren't any brain-eating amoeba in Lake Tess, are there? Loch-ness monsters I'm ok with, but brain-eating amoebas are where I draw the line

I dunno if this would be valid, but the items that we’ve gotten today from the fire rangers thingy kinda tell a bit on what may be happening imo.

We’ve gotten agate and witch stones which both have deeper meanings. Witch stones usually are said to ward off witches or evil, agate symbolises harmony and rebalance.

A theory I am proposing is possibly, the supposed cryptids are reclaiming the land for themselves (the camp unknowingly or purposefully built on their land? not sure) and are trying to get it back to that harmonious balance.

I dunno it was a very very quick theory with something so little, I just like making little things but I feel like the items will possibly have a part to play….

edit: unrelated note, a friend brought up that agate also sometimes forms from volcanic rock, so could there be a chance of an underwater volcano?

this was the exact sort of vibe ive been thinking… some of the creatures are getting unsettled and wanna fight back against the camp 👀?

also to add onto the volcano theory, we also got smoky geodes which also come from volcanic rocks when they cool. I feel as if the underwater volcano theory may be something also to look into, but its not certain.

100% agreed with this theory I really thought it was interesting when I saw the witch stone. Maybe looking to see what the meanings are between the different feathers as well?

OK OK! It might be a long stretch or a coincidence, but all this talk of cryptids is reminding me heavily of our freinds from March 2021! Anyone see any resemblances to clues we've found? Red eyes by the watchtower, possible Nessie sightings in the lake???

Definitely think it's something to look into. I think one of the cabins is meant to be investigating the lake if I recall correctly? With the nessie outline, and the underwater volcano/volcanic rocks, Nessie is looking more and more likely.

I'm going to fly out and see what there is to see today, but I'll be back by dusk. If you see me in the sky and need something, don't be afraid to call! Moose will be at camp, so my name is fine.

makes me wonder by what beryl means by "so my name is fine". beryl is a gemstone and i've read that it is believed to help find lost property, strengthens belief in gods (which could be the cryptids that mason mentions?) and can be a healing stone. this could maybe play into the theory with the witch stones? whatcha guys think

Looking at the eyes, the watch tower could be mothman or the Yosemite crawlers. The crawlers could be a good option too in general since they are tied to state parks.
