Ah, this guy is much more my speed in terms of squirrels. Still more chonky than I'm used to, but definitely closer to what I understand as a squirrel :]

someone said the guinea pigs were based on grasshoppers? Has anyone figured out which ones?

I have a guess on a few of them but I don't know enough about them to be entirely sure. I'd love to know what they are based on also.

Because I don't want to trip people up too much with big photos of closeup bugs, you should def look them up if you're interested! Grasshoppers are fascinating and wonderful creatures. The Rainbow Milkweed Locust is ESPECIALLY striking, it was really hard to get it to translate to these lines!

My brother worked wit Desert Locusts in his bachelor thesis - I just send him a picture of your designs and he just loves this, great job!

It definitely could be, but I was thinking more like a chipmunk. I think this one has stripes on his face and that's the big characteristic of chipmunks.
