In a world... far far away... there are a ton of animals that appear to be made out of jello :U

...Anyway! Yes yes the Lu adoptables are a series of various breeds (Fox, Horse, Rabbit, etc) that are squishy, chubby and cute. A Number Lu (or #Lu) may breed with other animals of the same sub-species (i.e. a fox can only breed with a fox, etc).

Some Rules and stuff
1. I will release 5-ish #Lus each week. Other than that there probably won't be any more per week... So don't ask?
2. Don't claim you made them, remove credit, yadda yadda just don't STEAL them 8D Got it?
3. There's a link in each Lu code. Kinda... leave it be and don't remove it =D
4. The litter and adoptable release pattern was inspired by Aesse's fat cats. I love her and didn't come up with the system <3
5. 1 adopt or baby at a time. :3
6. No stealing already adopted ones.
7. I make customs, yeah, for pets. XD This will probably be slowed down considerably if this adoptables thread picks up a bit though.
8. You may only adopt 1 adoptable per 2 days.
9. They will be released when they will be released. Yes this is a repeat of rule #1. Please stop asking about it.
10. If you were ninja'd in a release, don't whinge about it. x_X
11. In light of the fact that there are a LOT of people stalking the thread now, you are no longer allowed to edit your form after you have posted it. If you realize that you have been ninja'd, you may post again with an edited form. In layman's terms: No editing allowed.
12. You must type out your full username when filling out an adoption form.

K guys I thought I'd make a post about what is and is not spam. You guys are welcome to post on the thread but with a couple of limitations:

1. Please, for the most part, try to keep on topic. X__X If you want to have side-line conversations, either take it to the chat or post the side-long bits in with something on-topic (in the same post.)

2. I don't really mind if you ask in about how many hours a new litter will be out if I've said there'll be one today. I understand that some people have drastically different timezones and I really don't want people to be compromising sleep XDD However, hinting about litters when none have yet been made or announced is mildly annoying.

3. Whinging about not getting a Lu, be it from a drop or contest, will be considered spam. :3

About Adoptions
So. Sometime during each week, I might release a couple of grown Lus at a time, or some baby Lus. Baby Lus all look the same (they hatch from eggs, because of course all mammals hatch from eggs) so you'll have to wait until they grow to see their final markings, but they'll all share some similarity if they're from the same litter. You will most likely not see the parents.

When I release the adoptables, I'll make a post and a form and then the first person to claim the adoptable gets it. Staightforward yes?

Various Species of Lu
Lox

Info: The most common of the Lu species, the Lox generally have litters of 1-3 babies with at least one mutation. The most common coat colour is white.

Lorse

Info: The rarest of the Lu species, the Lorse generally have litters with 1-2 offspring, with mutations being very rare. The most common coat colour is speckled grey.

Lunny

Info: The 2nd most common of the Lu species, the Lunny generally have litters of 3-6 babies with mutations being uncommon. Lunny mutations generally only affect one or two of the offspring, though all will carry the mutation. The most common coat colour is brown.

Luilin

Info: A super rare species, the Luilin generally have litters of 1-2 babies with mutations being very rare. Luilin can only be made by breeding a Lox and a Lorse using a hybrid breeding potion (not available ATM <3) The most common coat colour is grey.

About breedings
In a Lu breeding, you may apply to have two Lus bred. A Lu breeding costs a breeding potion and will result in 3-5 babies which you can give away, stick in a blender, do whatever with :U Just let me know what you're doing with them.

Lu babies generally carry the male Lu's mutations and eye colour, and the female Lu's coat colour (though this changes from litter to litter, it's just something to bear in mind.)

Let's talk about genetics
Lus breed by gene splicing so they don't need to be a male and a female, all that's required is that they are the same species. :3

The reason why a male and female are recommended as breeding pairs is because females almost always carry the coat colours, whereas males almost always carry the mutations, resulting in babies who have both. Male x Male pairs generally result in offspring that have a lot of mutations but bland colour schemes as males who don't specifically carry coat only have their base fur colour (in the case of the raves, for instance, it's black). Female x Female pairs result in heavily patterned Lu with no mutations. :3

Additionally if you breed a female x a female or a male x a male, all offspring will be the same gender as the parents, rather than mixed genders. (Female litter from female parents, etc.)

About litter... incest...
It doesn't exist. I don't mind breeding two from the same litter as their markings are generally different and because they are gene-spliced there shouldn't be any health problems, it's something for the owners to keep in mind in case it bothers them, though.

Volunteering your pet for breeding does NOT automatically give you any of the pets, I will choose who it mates with and the offspring will be released in the thread for anyone to adopt. However, the parents of the pets will be warned beforehand about the litter release, giving them a higher change of adoption.

This potion alters the characteristics of your Lu so that it can pass down different things to its offspring (i.e. to add the ability to pass down mutations or colouring.)
