Kennel: 5
Name: Chanlyeya- Native American, meaning drifted snow
Breed: Equine
Age: 3
Why do you want this animal?&What will you do for this animal?: I would like to use her in my story, Waterfall Dreams. I am currently working on a site for it and all it's characters. She would be a friend of my main character, Iria.
Personality: Sweet and naive, Chanlyeya is in a herd of horses that Iria knows live with a group of Native Americans. Most of the time, she has energy enough to make one dizzy, making her a very outgoing individual. She is known to go right up to humans she doesn't know and neigh at them in a welcoming greeting.
Dislikes&Likes: She prefers the open prairies to the closed forests. Because she is still young, she very much enjoys the comforts of her family, both of her species and of her owners. One of her favorite things to do is play with Iria when she stops by for a visit, but it makes her sad that she can't always stay and play.
History/Backround:{5000 max,500 min} A loud neigh from above signaled to Chanlyeya. Iria was here for a special visit! Looking up, she saw Iria landing a couple hundred yards away from the herd. Galloping over to her, Chanlyeya happily neighed as she slowed, approaching the now resting pegasus. She walked up to Iria and nuzzled the side of her neck.
“I’m so glad you’re here! How have you been?” Chanlyeya backed away from Iria to look at her friend. It was special to see Iria. Iria was one of her best friends, and she couldn’t visit very often.
“I’m fine, thank you. How have things been since I last saw you in the forest?” Iria remembered a few months ago when she last passed the waterfall here. She didn’t like having to be so close to the human camp, but Chanlyeya always ensured that if her humans ever saw her, they would never harm her.
“Things are great! My humans are expecting a human foal soon! I hope it’s cute!” Chanlyeya replied. She had seen other human foals. They were also cute, but she hoped that her humans’ foal would be the cutest of all. She could imagine letting the little one ride her when it got older. It would be fun to have a new friend.
“Oh, that’s nice,” Iria didn’t enjoy the topics of humans, but she was happy for her friend. Iria bobbed her head slightly to gesture for Chanlyeya to talk. Chanlyeya flicked her head as she felt a few flies land on her neck.
“So, how long are you staying this time? Do I get to play with you more than last time? How about a race? To the tree? To that boulder over there?” Chanlyeya started to move around Iria, hoping this time she might win. Iria sighed softly. She had only stopped to see how her friend was. She hoped she wouldn’t get her younger friend’s hopes down by leaving so quickly.
“Unfortunately,” and Iria didn’t even get to finish. Chanlyeya snorted and looked at her friend with sad eyes.
“But you never get to stay long! You always have to leave!” Chanlyeya whined. Iria looked at her friend with her biggest mature face possible.
“I’m sorry, Chanlyeya, but you know of my job. I can’t let waterfalls not have rainbows,” Iria explained. She nuzzled her friend in a last goodbye. “I’ll see you in a few months the next time I have to stop here.” With that, she backed away from her friend, started to flap her wings and took off. Chanlyeya looked on in sadness. After Iria had taken off, she started to gallop after her, tears in her eyes.
“You better stay and play next time! Bye!” Chanlyeya called to her friend who had started moving off into the distance. Her reply was a loud neigh of approval. She slowed down to walk and stopped several yards from her herd as she watched Iria fly out of sight. Her mother walked up to her.
“I’m sure she will next time, dear,” her mother smiled with her eyes. Chanlyeya nodded, knowing her mother was right.
Art:{Made by you this is all up to you through you don't have to do it but it shows your dedication}
