Roseto Capo Warmblood #F267 based on this drawing by kaju
by Lilac Dreams @ Fri Jan 02, 2026 5:40 am [Reply]

Roseto Capo Warmbloods are a relatively new horse breed with the Iberian Warmblood, Andalusian, Lusitano and Spanish Mustang making up its bloodline. Founded by two horses specially imported from Spain to Italy, the breed was founded in the beautiful town of Roseto Capo and has quickly made its way across the globe. They have a height range of 15hh to 17.2hh. Horses shorter or taller than this range are not desired and are not used for breeding.

RCWs excel in dressage and are rarely bought for any other use. With large, expressive movements paired with the ability to collect and shorten, these horses are ideal for the dressage arena. Short backs and strong quarters allow for powerful, flowing gaits that have a good natural rhythm. These horses are very carefully bred in order to retain their quality and natural talent.

Marking for sure! I would love to just see lots of cool markings based on real deer, and maybe other animals as well if you're into fantasy traits! Something like a "sumatran striped rabbit" pattern on these would be super cute. I'd also love to see a coat length variety, I think like an "arctic" version would be so cool!

Some ideas:
- markings based on real deer
- markings based on other animals, ie sumatran striped rabbit (if you're into fantasy traits!)
- coat length (like an "arctic" version, or different variations)
- a rarity list based on edit complexity rather than arbitrary popularity
- breeding goals/challenges/achievements would be awesome
- also traits that can only come from random mutation or selective breeding (ie carried recessive traits that are never fully expressed in Gen 1 adopts/customs/myos)
- polygenic traits, basically traits that modify others (might control the "extremes" of a marking's variations, or cause it to change in some way like breaking up the pattern, reducing or extending the pattern, changing its color, etc)
- maybe an edit item that just lets you add whatever accessories to your deer (drawn by user, rather than putting that pressure on an artist, they'd have to add you to the canvas still tho)

Im Def open to all of these suggestions! If anyone else has anything they'd like to request please also feel free to suggest!

Putting this here for later

Peace Valley Deer are a beautiful species of deer, ranging in all variations of colors, from golden to Scorched, they range in height from 13 hh to 18.1 hh.
These deer are known for their prance like gate and smooth silky fur, along with their common fur and tail mutations, Lion tails and extra long and thick fur. These species are believed to have originated in Europe, and due to this they are just now starting to appear in different areas of the globe. Due to this their coats tend to have great variations as they try to adapt to the different surroundings and terrain.

But as they spread and their numbers grow they have a hard time staying safe from hunters, poachers and roads, and due to their limited number and population, they are slowly declining in population around the world and to help counteract this they being bred in captivity to help bring their numbers up around the world and keep the breed alive and well, and to help we ask that you the public help us to bring these beautiful beings to all areas of the world by participating in adoptions and breedings, and bring one (or several) of these beauties home!

New
Peace Valley Deer, gentle, majestic, graceful. A new species of deer.
Peace Valley Deer are largely unknown they go as fast as they come, living in the shadows their origins are unknown. But the first reported sightings are set hundreds of years ago. They emerged from the shadows slowly but soon enough they became as common as the white tail, It was like that for decades, but they soon began shrinking back into the shadows from which they came and by the civil war they were nothing but myth.
But now in the twenty first century their coming back! Slowly their being spotted in Michigan woods and are spreading, but their numbers aren't steady. These kind souls are struggling, from the pressures of poaching, habitat destruction, disease and human involved incidents their on their last leg. So PDPA (Peace valley Deer Protection Association) are working to bring in injured, stray, dangerous or vulnerable deer and get them placed in loving homes. The adoption goals are that every deer brought in is landed in a loving home that has acres of land for them to roam, and loving human caretakers to provide for their every need.
Now what are these majestic deer? A unique species not like that of a white tail or elk they stand between 37in to 51in (9hh to 14hh) and weigh in around at roughly 300lbs to 500lbs with the occasional bull reaching 550lbs. Their coats are have a large variety, from pitch black to golden as the sun. Another unique trait of theirs is their tails. These deer are seen to have two types of tails a normal deer tail, short and fluffy, and a lion tail, nice and long with long hairs at ether end. But thats not the only thing! Their coats! They are seen to have a special type of coat, extremely thick and heavy seemingly built for the arctic its unknown how they developed this coat but a lot of people see it as desirable.
So are you ready for one of these beauties, cause we certainly need some owners!
