Badger had always been a reckless colt. It seemed he was always finding trouble. The worst trouble though when he accidentally caused the a foal to pass away. He had been running about recklessly and playing around with some others colts in the herd when he upset a hive of bees. The bees chased him and the other colts until they ran into the water. It might have stopped the bees from coming at them but they instead would sting one of the newborn foals. The foal would start having a hard time breathing before finally it stopped. It was a horrible and painful lesson. The reckless colt learned the hard way that his actions had consequences and that those consequences did not always just affect him. They could also affect and hurt others. He would choose to never act so foolishly or recklessly again. He would not put another foal in danger or anyone else in his herd.

Sultan had been born to run. Not many in his herd was able to catch him. Due to this, he was able to lure predators away before tiring them out. He would always find his way home. It didn't matter how far he would lure predators away, he would find his herd. They didn't like straying too far from the oasis as it gave them food, water, and shelter. However, it also brought predators. Sometimes they would have to move and go to a different oasis. They would wander about. In the hot season, they would sometimes have to go far to find water as some of the oasises would dry up. Due to this, Sultan would sometimes leave before returning so that he could find water. If he didn't find it, he would dash about to another location before coming back to take his herd to wherever the water was. The cooler months were easier for them and much appreciated.

Sahara had been born near the oasis. Her mother had not wanted to be far. This was where her herd was. She needed to stay close for their protection. The first sound Sahara had heard was the sound of water. It was a peaceful sound. Though she liked the gentle voice of her mother instead. The rest of the herd didn't come close. They wanted to give both space. That was good because it gave Sahara a chance to stand and nurse before being introduced to the others. She was shy at first but soon was moving forward on wobbly legs to greet the others. She would learn they were horses of the desert and that they were runners. When she got more sure of her legs, she joined the other foals in races enjoying the wind whipping around her. She would play until she was tired. Then she would rejoin her mother and nurse. AFter she would lay down and sleep peacefully having no fears.

As for the colors, Gold and Silver are a given, grey (iron?) could absolutely work, but I also thought brown/orange (bronze) could be an interesting option for the 3rd color instead! I didn't include it in the color reference since I'm not sure what shade could be counted as "bronze" or if specifically listing orange or brown would be preferred (since bronze is sort of in-between them)
