Sandslip actually missed her apprentice ceremony! She was bouncey and beyond excited when the meeting to officially announce her as an apprentice was called, and she couldn't help but to chirrup and bolt around camp in her excitement. Unfortunately, a hawk seemed to fly overhead at just the perfect moment to notice the small feline making a commotion below. It dove, and was noticed during its conquest, but the loud warning yowls from her clanmates only confused and fightened little Sandkit, causing her to freeze up. The bird of prey clenched its talons around one of Sandkit's back legs, and she was left yowling and dangling as it carried her away. Luckily, a quick-thinking patrol that was just returning to camp at the time were able to rescue little Sandkit, but not without a price. She'd been left with deep, permanant scarring on her back leg. Now that she looks back to the incident, she feels truly proud that she was able to come out of such a dreadful situation as positive as she is!
