'I swear I saw something, somewhere deep in the forest, where the flora and fauna of the woods seem to have merged. . .'

Biologists have made reports that a new species has been spotted in the bowels of the woods, keeping themselves tethered to the thicket and seldom making appearance known. Documented below is all information scientists have regarding this newly-discovered species.

xxx‣ Fawnae [pronounced faw-nah] are a ruminant species of the Mammal kingdom hailing from the Cervidae family. Similiar in structure to a fallow deer, Fawnaes appear as lithe, slender deer with properties of the flora in their given environment. In contrast to its fallow counterpart, a Fawnae deer seems to vary in color and markings, differentiating themselves from the typical deer in the variety its flora-based genetics provide. If you read up to here, add any version of the word candle to your form and an uncommon and under edit you would like added. Colon three. Ghosts are a predetermined edit.

hi everyone! This is my first adopt as a guest artist I hope you guys like them <3 I based this Fawn on a London Fog, a drink I've recently been into diy barista-ing at home.
For this Fawn the contest is to draw or write a story about them and their favorite drink. Ends on October 13th

The bell had chimed to signal my entry, and the moment it rang out it I had frozen in place. It was as if the entire room went silent, save for the whirring of the espresso machines and clinking of kitchenware in the back, and I remember that I felt eyes on me the entire time as I shyly shuffled to the back of the cafe, head downcast to avoid meeting anyone's scrutiny. Anxiously I had white-knuckled the back of the chair, pulling it out and causing a loud, echoing screech as the legs scraped against the wooden floorboards, my cheeks hot from embarrassment at the loud sound. I remembered sitting quickly, fumbling with my fingers nervously under the table and trying to blend in as best I could, despite the earlier circumstances, and that's when you had arrived.

You approached me sweetly, notepad and blue pen in hand and apron slightly stained from the espresso you knew so intimately. Your hair frizzed out the sides of your messy bun, pulled back just enough to make sure you could see whatever task you were doing at any given moment, and you asked me what you could get me- I nervously blurted out that I wanted a Latte; I had never once had a latte in my life. With a sweet smile, you scribbled down my order and moved to make me what I asked for, and I watched you leave the whole way, eyes trailing on your fingers as they meticulously brushed over pristine porcelain. My mouth was dry, my heart fluttering in my chest with emotions and sensations I couldn't put my finger on nor give a name to, and before I could even begin to start deciphering my internal battle you had gingerly placed the steaming cup before me with a smile brighter than the sun itself.

You didn't stay long at all, enough to place my drink down carefully so as not to spill before moving to take care of another customer who had walked through the door. I had to peel my eyes away from you, gaze drifting down to my latte and feeling my skin tingle sweetly at the foam rabbit created right in the center. I remember the taste being sweet, not the bitterness I had worried would come with most coffee beverages, small hints of honey hitting my tastebuds the more sips I took- and it was then that I decided that maybe spur-of-the-moment decisions weren't so bad after all.

I visited every Wednesday, whether you were working or not, but when you were, my lattes always tasted sweeter, a new foam shape decorating the top of the warm beverage each time I ordered it. From fluffy clouds to intricately crafted leaves, each taste was sweeter than the last and I remember when we first had a full conversation- regrettably, I cannot remember what of- I was too busy caught up in you.

Flashforward to the present, I let my eyes trace languidly over the grooves of the table, reading casually the specials of the day despite already knowing exactly what I want. You seem to know quite well yourself, since recently you haven't asked me for my order the few times I have come in the past. Before I know it your dainty hands place the cup in front of me, and you're gone before I can even offer you a thank you. It's not difficult to surmise you must be busy, so I think nothing of it until my eyes fall on the foam design you've created for me today- and this time, the taste is just right.

Belleview was a dark place full of old souls. The forests at night existed in a Sepia-toned melancholy, almost all sound absent.
A young Fawnae lived in a cabin, singing a tune that carried on the wind for miles. The song was ominous and beautiful, but not at all harmless. And with passerby's being frequent there lied a chance for them to get lost.

"Oh you poor dear, won't you come in and have some tea?"
Innocent smiles hidden behind malicious eyes stared you down.

"I made it just now, its fresh."

A steaming cup of tea was then set in front of you, a heavenly aroma emitting through the air as you could feel your mouth water at the idea of taking a sip. Just one taste.

It was unlike anything you have ever experienced. Hints of fruit..? Perhaps it was raspberry? Almost but not completely overpowered by the taste of mint and there was something else...but what was it?

"I see your mind working hard to decipher the taste. Let me tell you."
However the Fawnae was not looking at you at all, instead her focus on the kettle in front of her on the stove.

"Raspberry Mint tea with just a hint of Hemlock. I feel it adds to the flavor nicely~ Don't you?"
