Lye has been camping for as long as she's been able to remember. "The ash of the campfire-", younger campers whisper, "-it's the reason her fur's all grey. It's fused to her." ; Some nights, some lucky campers get to go out with her on her hikes, where she tells stories of ghosts and cryptids she's met. "The children are more open-minded", she'd explain, "and at the same time, question me more. It's a good balance, I reckon."
